“Rich menu, cosy, value for money”
Reviewed 13 April 2013 via mobile

We have just finished our Saturday night 's dinner at DaGaia and we really ha great time.
All the staff members are very nice and effective, the quality of food is really high with many possible chioces in the menu.
Not many seats available, so be sure you have advanced reservation if you plan to go in busy days.
Prices are really honest.
Surely raccomanded!

“Great food, service so-so.”
Reviewed 12 April 2013 via mobile

Make a reservation. They cater to locals, tourists are second rate customers to them. The food was fabulous. They have English menus, but do not expect a lot of it to be spoken. Good atmosphere... Service not so good.

“Two nights in a row!”
Reviewed 21 November 2012

We ate here two nights in a row, it was that good! it fills up quickly so go when they open, about 7:30 p.m. We ordered a meat entree as well as a pasta "first course" and shared our meals, along with a salad. Try the ricotta cake dessert, it's amazing. Good value for the money!

“Good food and value for money”
Reviewed 23 July 2012 via mobile

We came to Gaia during our stay in Genova and was pleasantly surprised by the food!
Menus are available in Italian, French and English. Typically Italian menu where you order your main dish then vegetables on the side.
I thought we got a good value for our money paying 46€ for two main courses, beverages, coffees and desserts. Good portions, I had rabbit and got a whole half of a rabbit for 10€!
The chocolate mousse was ok. My husband didn't like his tiramisu as much as it was a bit too much like a cake and tasting a bit too much of alcohol. We didn't get the home made feeling from the desserts as we did from the main dishes.
We were there on a Monday and didn't have trouble at all getting a table. The few tables outside were all booked, but the atmosphere inside was even better.

“Not too bad, a little bit touristy”
Reviewed 22 July 2012

This restaurant opens at 7:3m for dinner, promptly -no early arrivals. Some we elsewhere and had a pre dinner drink, then came back. No reservation required. We sat under the pergola, and had a reasonably nice meal. The manager comes to each table and explains the menu in English. They could,do,with a few more staff, other couples were leaving due to the wait. However we were served promptly. All fish is freshly purchased.
