This restaurant was close to our hotel, so we ate there the first night we arrived in Genoa. My husband had the gnocci with pesto (8 euros) and I had the lasagna (11 euros). It was very good, not great. For the price would recommend it. Repeated the dinner again. Same results, however we did notice a 2 euro per person charge. Whether this was a mandatory tip or for bread, we didn't know. The third time definitely was not a charm! I ordered pasta carbonara that was the worst pasta that I have ever been served anywhere in any country. Absolutely tasteless. No sauce. Nothing. It was like a serving of al dente spaghetti on a plate with nothing else on it. My husband's dinner was not as bad but was certainly not good. It was a terrible meal, although the men running the restaurant were very friendly but service was slow. Even though this restaurant was convenient, just opposite the train station, I wouldn't recommend it. It could be pretty good or just plain awful!
