i went there with my boyfriend, i ordered vegetarian food and he had fish.
there are only a few vegetarian options (1 starter and a couple of pasta dishes) but they were good.
my boyfriend said the fish was extremely fresh and good.
the service is what makes you loke this place even more: both the waiters and the manager were very polite and helpful in choosing the food, explaining the food origin and the dish preparation.
we both had one starter, one main dish, one dessert and shared a bottle of white wine, and the total price was 80 €.
it was a bit expensive but the portions was ok, we were full at the end, so we were happy even if it was a bit more expensive than the other restaurants we went in genova.

We found the place by accident as the others we looked up were booked up for the night. We only went in because the waiter/doorman started talking to us and convinced us their pasta was amazing.
So of course we went for tuna steak, and steak. I'm not sure why in the end, we just got the taste for them. We weren't disappointed. Both were amazing, as was our fried seafood starter. The portions were just right and everything was cooked how we wanted it. The service was really good and the food came promptly. They were a bit sneaky with the wine trying to get us to have an expensive bottle when we didn't see the wine menu but they were happy to change it for us before it had been opened so it wasn't a problem.
The price was very reasonable for the food we had as well, I think for the lot it came to about 70 euros between the two of us which we were really happy with.
We were able to sit outside and with a nice view up to one the city arches, and though there was a loud bar up the road it wasn't so loud that it disturbed dinner, it was just nice back ground noise.
I would certainly recommend finding this restaurant and checking it out, I'm sure you won't be disappointed!!

After an afternoon exploring the historic centre of Genoa, decided to take a meal at this restaurant as it was quite colose to our parking location. There were a few places on offer but this appeared to be a little less touristic. Service was very good and timely, food was excellent with one real surprise..... decided to try the entree of vegetables and fish, a local speciality. It arrived in a basket and comprised several fried vegetables and two types of fish all covered in a similar coating to that you maybe familiar with when ordering calamari. The carrots, zucchini flowers and courgette were very tasty as were the anchovies.

The SURPRISE was the Bacala (stock fish), it has the appearance of cod but the smell and the taste are really very strong, a taste to some to terms with or to avoid if you are not sure. On first smell and taste there was a brief moment when you may think that there is something wrong, but the waiter and other customers assured us it was good.

Would definitely recommend this restaurant and even the Bacala........ if your adventurous

OK. This was not my first choice or 2nd. 1st was closed & 2nd was full. But their lose was my gain. Warmly welcomed, great decoration. Menu in Italian but worked it out, the staff speak good English so don't worry. Went for the fried selection as a starter (Fritto Musto) & Ricciola (swordfish), both excellent. Washed down with a local red wine. Not cheap at 50 Euro's, but well worth it.
