This B&B is run by two very friendly people. It is a self contained flat, with two guest rooms, in a beautiful old palazzo with amazing views of Genoa. While the view is magnificent, it means the B&B is located in a way that makes it unsuitable for older or disabled guests. It is too bad though that there are no views from the rooms as these face the inner courtyard which makes them extremely dark. Despite owners best intentions, the service is poor and the B&B is organised in a rather scattered way. The room we stayed in is called Menta, and is furnished in Moroccan style. This would be pleasant if the decorations were not too many so not to leave any surface where to place your own things and if the light was better - even with all of 3 lamps on, it was still too dark to read the guidebook (and the B&B lacks any other cosy space where to sit and read). The bathroom was spacious and very beautiful but in complete contrast with the room so it felt quite disjoint. But the biggest problem was that there was no cleaning service at all the 4 nights we stayed, whether for the rooms or the bathroom. Breakfast was also a bit of a disaster. The first two days we got nothing but a coffee and the last two a pastry and a piece of foccaccia. There is a limit to how much bread one can eat - so, to have some yogurt, fruit, muesli, eggs, salami or cheese would have been a welcome change. Having said all of this, and despite owners best intentions, EUR 80 per night is way too expensive!
