We stayed here for one night and really enjoyed it. The Hotel Manager was very welcoming and helpful and we muddled through with no Italian and little English. The hotel is on a Main Street close to shops, fresh food market and the Palazzo Ducale and there is a hill at the end of the street with a great view. We walked with luggage from Genova Brignole train station. We highly recommend.

This hotel is pretty average looks wise, However the owners are friendly, but I just don't think it was worth the money to be honest, the double bed that was listed was just 2 singles pushed together and the private bathroom was a small sink and shower and the toilet was communal and down the hall, we paid an extra £20-30 for what we thought would be a bathroom with a toilet, but it wasn't and that made getting up in the night to use it a bit of a pain. so that was a little misleading in our opinion but still the location of the hotel is very good. All though before this gets branded as an unfair review we have just travelled to Turin and checked into a backpackers hotel at a 1/3 less the price and the room is a lot nicer with a full on suite also (and breakfast is included)

Stayed here last week for one night and was made to feel very at home. The location is walkable from Genoa Brignole station and very close to Plaza Ferrari. It's an ideal location for walking around Genoa and the price is excellent for what you get. My room was good and the owners were very helpful (they even supplied me with a plug converter which i'd forgotten).

I'd seen someone say that the road facing side was noisy but to be honest I didn't find this. It was all comfortable and pleasant. definitely recommended.

Room Tip: Apparently the garden side is quietest

The hotel is very nice. The staff were very friendly, helpful and kind!! Nice clean rooms, perfect location directly in the city center. Mercato Orientale is 100 metres away, while Genova Brignole Train Station can be reached in 10 minutes on foot.

This high-ceilinged 9 room mini-hotel is located on the 4th floor of a late 19th century building on Genoa’s attractive main avenue, just a short stroll from the main attractions of the city centre and Old Town. A colourful main fruit and vegetable market is right on the doorstep too.

Owner Agostino, his wife Edda, and Angelo the maintenance man are all absolutely charming. They do not speak English but are most helpful in providing free city maps and leaflets about local attractions, and recommending local restaurants. Tommy the dog is a friendly fellow too!

My wife and I were upgraded from a small double room on the main street by reception to room 7, a spacious triple room on a quiet side street with a 5 m² bathroom fitted with a powerful shower and sole use of a toilet (flushed with a chain!) across the corridor. The large bed was extremely comfortable, and an old-style TV was tuned to local channels. The hotel is furnished with a wealth of white chipboard IKEA base unit furniture and standing lamps.

A continental breakfast of coffee/tea with croissant at a nearby café is included in the room rate. We paid €73 a night but would have preferred to pay around €55-60 for this standard of good but basic accommodation, but I guess we paid the market rate.

Room Tip: Triple Room 7 is decent

great location, lovely room, cleaned daily with fresh towels and nice and warm at night. the owners are lovely and helpful and i wouldn't recommend any where else! it was just what i needed. your located on one of the main streets, not far from the main train station and everything is in walking distance. So if your looking for a cheap cosy central place this is just for you.
