Excellent location and friendly staff. Room small but perfectly adequate, clean and stylish. Loads of towels provided and easy access to train station. The terrace with hot tub was a welcome treat after our journey.

If you need somewhere to sleep that's modern, clean, close to the city centre and train station (Brignole) and with a bit of an edge then I would recommend Hotel Nologo. Trying to get into the hotel was a bit of a challenge when we first arrived, as we didn't realise we needed to be on the 1st floor, but once we got settled in it was all fine. We decided not to go for breakfast and instead to eat out each morning, but there are so many cafes around the hotel we were spoilt for choice. Our room had a small balcony and we also made use of the hot tub on the terrace (a bonus that we weren't expecting) Staff are friendly and very accommodating. The room was small, but it's to be expected in the city centre, and it was a bargain price. Had a lovely 7 night stay!

This was a complete bargain. I paid 40 euro a night for a single room. The room I got was anything but single. Really large and spacious, clean, bright, modern. Terrace. There was even a rooftop Jacuzzi for the use of guests. To say it was basic would be an insult but definitely minimalistic in the décor. I liked this as everything seemed fresh and fuss free. Location is excellent, just off a really sweet busy buzzy pedestrianized road with some shops, cafes, geletarias etc. and parallel to the September xx shopping avenue. Close to the sites and a pretty perfect base for exploring. Close to the Brignole station (less then 5 mins). Staff were nice and efficient. I can not rate it enough and will definitely return. If you prefer the more traditional dark wood and heavy bed spread type of hotel then this is not for you but for excellent value, location and space it is a must.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a balcony

This hotel is very well located, this is the main reason why you could pick it. The rooms are so small, we had problem to open our luggages! Beds were confortable. Bathroom was clean but very small has well. Our room has a nice balcony but it was very noisy. If you are about to stay only one night, it's ok, but if you are staying for more then one night, stay somewhere else.

Dear Maitre27
we thank you for your review. You are right, our Hotel is ideally located for visit Genoa  We opened in March, everything is new. We have also “wow surprise”: a sun terrace with a little pool with Jacuzzi.
Our rooms have different size according to the price and the beds. We are sorry you did not enjoy your accommodation.
We hope to see you again and send you our best regards.

Stayed here for 2 nights, great price with high quality. Everything are news, and the staffs are professional and friendly. I booked 2 difference nights, because i was staying at Cinque Terre for a night in between, and they help me take care of my 29" suitcase into their storage. that make my trip much easier. The front desk is available is 24hrs, if you need to buy bottle water they do sell it. Location is perfect, you will be staying at the street with restaurant, cafes and shops, so do pharm store and mobile store. it only take 5-8 mins walk to the Main street (Via XX Settembre), also another 5-8 mins to Train station (Piazza Brignole) you can get to CInque Terre and Airport easily. Definately, my next trip to Genova will love to stay here again.

Stayed here for a total of three nights. Staff were pleasant enough upon arrival. You'll get asked to pay city tax which is an additional payment of €1 per person for every day you spend in Genoa.

Room was a good size for us as a couple with great storage. Shower had good pressure and had hair/soap dispenser in it. Towels are also included with the room. Aircon kept us cool all evening. Walls are quite thin but this didn't end up bothering us much and obviously the novelty of the music themed rooms was a nice touch!

The only issue we had was that we booked through an external website which said there were no double rooms left so we booked a triple room which obviously cost a bit more but we were prepared to pay as it offered such a great price anyway. Upon arrival the receptionist realised there were only two of us and so got her colleague to turn down the third bed. She then informed us that we could have called the hotel directly to say we were only a two and they would have charged us accordingly. We did email prior to our visit to say this but never got a reply (we had infact forgotten we emailed by that point!). So when you book - if it says they have no double rooms just call them directly as they make up the bedrooms tailored to your needs and beds aren't permanently installed. We had to push our beds together but it wasn't so bad, would have been nice to save even more money though!

Location was great because on your way into the marina (12 mins walk away) you get to see all the smaller roads, notable places and hidden gems! The city is really not that big and we got to places pretty swiftly.

Carrefour (small supermarket) is hidden down an alley on the main road near Carpisa (bag shop). Took me a while to find that out so be sure to take a peek down the alleys and you'll see a sign in green writing. Be sure to shop in the day though as it shuts quite early! The 24hr Vending machines up the road leading to XX Septembre sell water for just 50 cent - the cheapest we found.

Overall, a great trip with a great hotel in an ideal location!
