“Quiet, excellent view”

We stayed four nights and found everything just right. Fernando was extremely helpful and Alessia gave us a warm welcome. We would have liked to have been able to make a cup of tea at the end of the day but this wasn't possible. Not all rooms have a fridge but there was no problem using the fridge in the kitchen for chilling the wine, nor borrowing the glasses from which to drink it. Being out of town a little was great, once we had found it, and the view over the harbour with twinkling lights at night was magical. The GPS was upset by the winding road and wanted us to turn around. Highly recommended.

We stayed 2 nights in the Shelley Room and the views from our room and private patio were nothing short of amazing. Our room was spacious, as was the bathroom which had a walk-in shower and hairdryer; the room also had a safe and a tiny fridge. Like most B&Bs we've stayed at, Arianna Hill House's kitchen/dining area is open 24/7 for guest use - we raided the kitchen for a corkscrew and wine glasses our first evening! Fernando and Alessia were extremely helpful, driving us to/from the train station and into town a couple times to catch the bus or train. We attempted to use the bus to get to/from the B&B several times, but due to it's schedule we were never able to catch it. On Fernando's high recommendation, we visited the small town of Portovenere and loved it! Only negative: the reception area isn't manned past 4ish in the afternoon, so there's no one to help with directions/reservations/recommendations. And sadly, we didn't realize a one day advance reservation was needed for the nearby Acadoleo restaurant - and we couldn't get in...however, this is one of many excuses for returning to the Arianna Hill House!

Room Tip: The Shelley Room is probably the biggest and has a huge private patio.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at the arianna hill house. Alessia and Fernando went out of their way many times to accommodate their guests. Alessia greeted us with cappuccino and lemon cake soon as we arrived. The views were beautiful. It is a quiet, peaceful, romantic B&B. very clean! it is an absolute MUST to make dinner reservations in advance at Acadoleo, right up the street. We vacationed for 11 days and this was our best meal of the trip. Only downside of this location, it is far up a hill, need to take a taxi to and from train station, and cinque terre. If the hosts are around, they may offer. If you are a couple looking for some serious R&R, peace and quiet, and romance, this is the place for you.

We hope to come back soon! Kyle and Kate

We stayed here 3 nights. The view was wonderful. Adrianne helped us and what a wonderful young lady. Very much a family run hotel. We came and went as we wanted and were given information on places to visit and eat. Would go back next time we visit.

Room Tip: Great price for the room.

Pros:

BREAKFAST: good, served with a hot chocolat bread but not the best I ate in my trip (an automatic coffee machine).

BUSINESS CHAIN OR INDIVIDUAL OWNER: You do feel like it is an individual owner. Their English is ok, you won’t have any problem to ask for questions.

ROOMS: good size room, clean, bed comfortable, smell good in the place, AC working pretty well, no noise from outside (you are on a hill), special view great but cut because of the threes.

BATHROOM: a bit of moisture in the shower even if it is brand new and the water was accumulating in the shower as if the drain was stuck (but ends up draining the water once done with the shower. Pretty small bathroom, no hairdryer.
Reservation online without any problem.

CAR PARKING: Yes
SPECIAL PLUS: The owner prepares you information cards and you can grab books from his place to see what to do in the area.
SPECIAL PLUS: The view

Cons:
You need to arrive at the place between 2pm and 4pm, which is an inconvenient.
About 45 to 50 min walk from the Termini (train station), so you need a cab. However, if you come by train into La Spezia, the owner can arrange a lift from the train station to the B&B. Buses are not convenient. Hourly buses to the city center but buses from the city center to the B&B ends around 7pm.

amazing place run by amazing people! rooms are clean and cosy. the house is situated on a hill, it's a peaceful place with very nice patio and wonderful view on the golf. The owners are very friendly and helpful. We got a problem with our car and Fernando helped us quickly with finding a car service.
My advice: visit Portovenere! we liked it more than famous Cinque Terre.

Fernando (our host) is a wonderful person, who was very caring for our wellbeing, gave us good tips on local restaurants and traveling in the Cinque Terre area. For us the drive up the hill was very ok, just a couple of kilometers from the city center. The property was very well kept, clean, newly renovated, very nicely decorated with a good neutral taste that I would assume pleases most people. The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The view from the rooms is just breathtaking. The service was fantastic and we felt most welcomed!
