The outside look is a bit deceiving. Once we rang the bell and got to the second floor, we are very nicely surprised by the clean, morden and spacious room. After talking to the friendly owners (husband and wife I think), we got a really good feeling we made the right choice. The bed was comfortable and big, place is very quite at night. Honestly, I think we made best choice staying here instead some hotels inside cinque terre. We saw many people dragging their heavy luggage up and down hills and steep stairs. The price of this hotel is more than reasonable! Great value!

This B&B was ideal for us. The location was great, just a small walk to the train station or down to the port. Plenty of restaurants in the surrounding area. We were lucky to have a small balcony although there were no chairs or a table there. There wasn't a lot of space but perhaps folding chairs would be an idea. The room had a fridge too which was handy. Breakfast was just okay, not great. Very clean.

This hotel is quite new and at very good location. The staff are friendly and helpful to introduce you nice restaurant where local people go. Also they suggest you the best schedule according to the season and weather you should take, which is not completely the same with travel book.
This kind of hotel has real hospotality of Italy.

We stayed here for 1 night whilst visiting the Cinque Terra - should have stayed more. We had a little trouble finding it, with only a small sign on the building wall amongst many other signs, and right opposite the busy markets. The building appears a little old from the outside and when going into the building foyer and lifts you start to think you made a mistake coming here. But when going through the door to the B&B what a tremendous surprise!! Ultra modern!! Our room, on a corner of the building was very large, spacious, had a queen bed and another day bed, beautiful bathroom, large windows opening up to the markets, and when shut nearly soundproof. Everything fantastic! The fridge had a sign "help yourself - everything in the fridge is complimentary", with 2 fruit juices, water and snacks. Only place in Italy with that! Only place in Italy where we could watch TV in English also. We had a great night, with takeaway kebabs watching English TV till midnight. Breakfast was great, and we met Crystal, the owner's little dog sitting in her handbag on a stool - we nearly dog-napped her. The lady owner was very friendly and helpful with parking the car and catching the train to the Cinque Terra. We had a great time, and wished we could have stayed longer. Dont miss it if going to the Cinque Terra.

I love it, just that I love this hotel.
There is no staff the owner is the staff. Is a really nice young lady and her boyfriend that helps you with everything. Even when you have a car problem with hertz and she helped me to translate and be able to talk to the attendant on the phone.
When I arrive late at night, she just told us to help yourself on the fruit basket. And if we wanted more was always juice and fruit that we could get.
The hotel is really well located. Close to all the nightlife of La Spezia.
The owner has a nice little dog that keeps you company and it is a love one.
When you arrive there on get intimidated by the old building or the elevator, that does not jam. It looks like will but it doesn’t.
Is it almost like a hospital, so clean and smells so good.
Again I love it.

Where to begin with our stay at urban chic in la Spezia? Can't recommend this hotel enough. I've done my share of traveling in Europe and this hotel definitely ranks very highly on my list of outstanding values.

The rooms are very modern, right up there with the coolest boutique hotels in New York or San Francisco. Also very clean, spacious, and bright. Don't let the entry way to the hotel fool you, this place is very modern. Patrizia is a very accommodating owner and host of this "b&b" (more of a boutique hotel) and is very easy to deal with if you book directly with her (we got a better rate this way - just send her an email off her website).

The breakfast provided was also excellent. The location of this hotel is superb, only about a 10-15 minute walk from the main train station and easy access to the Cinque Terre towns. If you're in this area, you really need to stay at Urban Chic. By far, the nicest hotel and best bang for your dollar in La Spezia.

we stayed in La Spezia as a base for the Cinque Terre. This was a better idea then staying in the busy .and overcrowdwd towns on the cinque terre.
Just a 30 min train ride to Riomaggore the 1 1 st town of the 5.
Rooms were modern. With nice little touches. We asked for and got twin beds. Breakfast was adequate. Patrezia the owner was waiting for us when we arrived late, when we missed our train.
She was full of suggestions for helping us with our trip.
When arriving at the station exit lt and gostraight down the slight rt down a pedestrian walkway thru the shops. Turn rt at the rd of the hotel
