“Wonderful stay”
Reviewed 15 September 2013

Great compliments to the team of Cerrolungo for my recent stay. In particular Elisa's kindness and hospitality makes her a great host and ambassador to promote Cerrolungo. She is always happy to advise about places to see and restaurants to eat in the area.
The room was straightforward but homely and comfortable. The cats and dog made this stay even more a nice place to stay. Breakfast was perfect with homemade jam, delicious homemade cake, sandwiches, fresh fruit, eggs and great cappuccino.
Views are magnificent and its a good location to see Cinque Terre, Porto Venere and other villages along the coast.
Last but not least: if you like wine it certainly is a good opportunity to taste their wines.

My husband, two children and I stayed here for four nights in August. Elisa was the most wonderful host. She was very warm, sweet, incredibly helpful and is an absolutely amazing cook. We chose this spot because it was very convenient for visiting the Cinque Terre. We had a very difficult time finding it at first because La Spezia's streets are very poorly marked. (Be sure you have a good GPS!!!) But once we got there we were very happy. The rooms were simple with comfortable beds and newly renovated bathrooms. The views are beautiful and it was wonderful to explore the vineyard and watch them bottle their own wine. Elisa prepared one incredible meal after the other. The breakfasts included homemade cakes, fresh fruit and eggs, local honey and homemade jams. You can also have dinner there several nights during the week. The two nights we ate there we had some of the best meals of our entire trip!

We discovered this lovely agriturismo and the delightful Elisa thanks to Groupon. The room was beautiful, very simple but very tasteful. Unfortunately the weather was awful but this didn't spoil our short stay. Dinner was excellent and Elisa was more than accommodating for my gluten free needs, serving up delicious ravioli filled with spinach and ricotta and pumpkin made by her 85 yr old grandmother! We certainly hope to go back one day .....

We stayed two nights at Cerrolungo to explore the Cinque Terre. It's a beautiful property and the owners are really nice and helpful. It's about a 10 minute drive from La Spezia, from where we started our daytrips. The rooms are nice, but the views are fantastic. The surroundings are very quiet and we also had a really good night's sleep. The terrasse where we had a splendid dinner and breakfast is quite breathtaking with its views. We really enjoyed the stay at Cerrolungo.

The people behind Cerrolungo have a great plan for the property, and if they can execute (the positive attitude is definitely there, and they know everything isnt quite there yet) it will be outstanding, but... it's a work in progress and as long as you understand this and are ok with it you will have a pleasant stay. A lot of things just aren't quite finished yet, We stayed in the Pink room and the Blue room for one night. We arrived at night, Carlo was very helpful throughout our stay. The bathrooms are finished with high end fixtures and will be very nice when completed. The rooms smelled musty, but were clean. The website reservation system doesnt work yet, but email responses are timely. THe GPS directions are almost correct, start looking for the sign on your left as the Gps says you are getting close, as the Gps thinks the property is further up the road than it really is.

The road up the hill from La Spezia is challenging. I drove to Cinque Terre and to Bellagio and the road to Cerrlungo was the hardest of the three drives.

You will drink the wine from their own property, while sitting on the terrace enjoying a magnificent view. In the evening they offer a nice plate with local cheese and proscuito combined with drinks. In the morning the joyfull staff serves a nice breakfast with coffee and boiled eggs. A warm and homely stay!

We spent one night @ cerrolungo and I wish we could have stayed longer! The vue from the family house is beautiful (a vallée with vignards & mountains), accomodation is very authentic, cosy and comfortable & you can have great appetizers at the end of the afternoon (great wine, great food:))!
