Hotel is to your left about one block when you exit the front of the train station. Rooms are clean. Bathroom is nice. Internet service in room is very poor. You have to go to lobby area to get decent service. Breakfast is good and to my amazement they actually have a coffee service at breakfast where you can poor your own cup and not wait for a waitress to bring it to you? TV in room-2 English channels-Bloomberg and BBC. Apparently no hotels in Italy have Fox News or ESPN.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the 4th floor away from the street. Breakfast is served on the 5th floor.

Spent 3 nights here and chose this hotel due to its proximity to the train station.
Reception staff very helpful with check in and check out handled quickly.
Room was clean as was the bathroom.
Air conditioner worked well.
Breakfast included in room rate and was the usual buffet you would expect.
Free nibbles at the bar in the evening were a bonus and the female bar attendant (sorry forget her name) was awesome with restaurant suggestions.
La Spezia is a lovely town very close to Cinque Terre by train.
There is a laundry within walking distance one of the best I used during my stay.
Overall a great hotel in a convenient location with friendly staff, you can’t go wrong.

Stayed two nights while we did a train day trip to the Cinque Terra villages. Clean standard room. Reasonable value. Good location 2 minutes to train station. Breakfast was ok to good. On our first night plenty of hot water both evening and morning but from 07:30 - 09:30 on the second morning there was no hot water. We stayed in room 137. A Contiki Tour group was staying this second night; so I guess they had all the hot water. I raised the issue on checkout and the pleasant English speaking reception staff member showed genuine surprise.
La Spezia is definitely a good value option for doing the Cinque Terra villages; as getting luggage to your quaint B&B in on one the villages would be a challenge.

Room Tip: There is somewhat noisy central lift shaft that could be a issue.

La Spezia is a great place to explore the Cinque Terre and this hotel is the perfect place to stay. We had a superior room and the little balcony, large bedroom and bathroom was perfect. Breakfast was of avery high standard and all of the hotel staff were most helpful.
Hotel is well located with the railway station opposite (but no noise from trains) and shops and restaurants close at hand. Boats to the Cinque Terre and Porto Venere are 10 minutes walk away.
Cinque Terre villages are tourist madness in high season - this is a much better option.

Room Tip: Go for the superior room - balcony and view worth the extra.

It's such an enjoyable trip visiting Cinque Terre. We chose this hotel since we found that it's located near the train station, La Spezia Centrale, where we could easily explore the amazing five
villages, Cinque Terre. What a fantastic find !! The hotel did not let us down at all. The rooms , the breakfast, the facilities and the hotel staff were absolutely cool.
Thanks for all. We'll come back again for sure.

We spent two nights in this hotel, and used it as a base to explore Cinque Terre. The hotel is literally across the street from the train station to Cinque Terre, so it could not be more convenient. It's also good to note that even though it is near the station, you do not hear the trains passing at all.

The service here is good, and the concierge helped recommend and book evening meals for us in La Spezia both nights we were there.

The breakfast buffet was nice, with a selection of cereal, eggs, cold meats and cheeses. All their food is locally sourced, and they will even show you how far the food travelled to your plate.

Additionally, the hotel was kind enough to upgrade us for free to a bigger room because our room was not configured for a king-sized bed.

Overall, a great hotel and a great experience. Highly recommended.

We had a nice experience here. It is quiet & just a block from the train station where you can catch trains all day to the villages of Cinque Terre. Nice staff who recommended great restaurants. Only problem for us was the A/C was a bit low & it did get a bit warm at night. As noted by others, the breakfast was wonderful in a beautiful rooftop setting with a nice view. Bar also nice in the early evening.
