This resteurant is so special :-) Crazy delicious spaghetti with musels and I want spaghetti alla pomdoro but it wasn't on the menu. But the cook told " that is no problem and prepare for me the best spaghetti I have ever eat !!! So delicious. The owner and his wife is so friendly and nice. Place is very calm and beautifull. Don't forget to try Pana cotta is great as well .
We came to Il Piccolo Sogno after a day of hiking in Cinque Terre and then researching restaurants on Tripadvisor. What drew me to Il Piccolo Sogno was that they accommodate vegetarians. We arrived at 10 PM on a Tuesday night and there were no diners in the restaurant but Antonio welcomed us and made us feel at home. I explained that I am vegan and asked if he could he accommodate my needs. He asked a few questions about my restrictions and preferences, put on the US-Belgium World Cup game on the TV for us to watch, then went into the kitchen to prepare a fabulous meal, vegan for me and seafood for my wife. The antipasto was an assortment of bruschettas and grilled vegetables followed by a delicious pesto linguini. The seafood meal was, I am told, also splendid. Antonio and his family were very gracious hosts and they went out of their way to make us feel at home. Five days into our Italian trip this was by far the best meal.
This tiny and hard-to-find restaurant is definitely a pearl in La Spezia! You will be served by the owners and they will make sure you get a real Italian cuisine experience... a well sized meal, good beverage, desserts and a even a complimentary limoncello!
although not the cheapest restaurant in La Spazia, we enjoyed the atmosphere and quality of the meals provided, as well as the friendly, helpful staff. The house wine (by the bottle) was very good value and the overall experience was good food at prices that were a little above the norm. It was a wonderful shared experience.
