This hotel is further from town than I would prefer. The hotel does provide a free shuttle, however if you arrive in the afternoon, you have to get a taxi, which is odd, as check-in is in the afternoon.
Front desk staff, Kathy spoke perfect English and was very helpful. The first room I was given was dark and dingy and the bed was as hard as a rock. I was not impressed, and after speaking with Kathy, I was given another room....still very hard bed and flat pillows, as seems to be the norm in Italy. There is no restaurant on the premises, but the free shuttle will take you into town beginning at 6pm and will bring you back as late as 9.30pm. Breakfast was OK, and the waitress will make you cappucino if you don't like the very strong American coffee. The area is not very good, so don't suggest walking solo at nightime. There is a seafood only restaurant around the corner which was OK. Kathy arranged for anyone who was going to Cinque Terre to go by boat, so the shuttle took us to the port where we had a fabulous 2 hour trip. Only 2 English speaking TV channels.More
