“It is a old folks home, not a hotel !”
Reviewed 4 April 2012

We arrived at the hotel around 7:30 PM. We were shocked by what we saw. Elderly people were fed in their wheelchairs in the breakfast room. It was more like a old folks home than a 3 *hotel. We paid 140 Euro for a triple per night. We expected a 3* hotel standard. The rooms were basic, so was the breakfast. The coffee from the coffee machine tasted sour. There is NOTHING pleasant about the hotel. We couldn't wait to get out, We checked out the hotel at 7AM. Horrible Hotel !

This hotel was one of the last available on my selected dates, but the room was so small, and right on the street. The bathroom was so small, I could barely fit into the room, and definately could not close the door. So much street noise. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and it looked as though they were making improvements to the property. The location is good, just across from the train station, and close to the downtown area. I just would have preferred a comfortable room. I would only stay agian if improvements were made

All of the hotels in the 5 towns of cinque terre are up hill or a lot of steps and not close to train station. We did not want to carry our bags up a hundred steps a half mile potentially in the rain. This hotel is a 5-10 min train ride to all the cities. Leave your platform take the left stairway and the hotel is th first thing you see when you walk outside

This is a really well located hotel directly opposite the station and only a 5 minute walk to the town centre. The room has everything you need like a safe, air conditioning and TV. The staff is friendly and very helpful. They gave us an explanation of how the Cinque Terre Card works and showed us where to go to take the bus and ferries. I would recommend this for people who like no frills but this is not basic accommodation at all!

We stayed here with my children, aged 10 and 14, the night before we visited CinqueTerre. This was probably our least favorite hotel of the entire trip, but it was very easy to get to the train station which was right across the street. The room was very small (with four beds in and pictures of Disney characters on the walls), but clean. We were able to walk a few blocks to a nice plaza with sidewalk cafes and restaurants. There are also bakeries and grocery stores within blocks of this hotel. The staff was very helpful and let us store our luggage during our trip up the coast.

This hotel is right across the street from the Train Station in La Spezia. It has Wi-Fi, and an adequate breakfast. rooms are large and comfortable. Good value for the price if you are visiting this area and Cinque Terra.

Room Tip: none that I can think of.

The hotel is conveniently located on the bottom level right across the La Spezia Central Station. When you walk out of the station, look straight for the big 'MARY' sign on the roof top across the station. Take the stairs down the fort and the hotel is in the middle of the block. The staff were friendly, bed was comfy, breakfast was great (cereal, homemade yogurt-YUMMY!, eggs, cold cut, croissants, rolls, cheese, juice, coffee, milk, water, cake, fruit and dried bread) They allowed us to leave our luggages in the room by the front desk after we checked out. Close to Cinque Terre..bought a whole day train pass and admission pass to Cinque Terre for 10 euros each person. MAKE SURE YOU VALIDATE YOUR TICKET with the YELLOW MACHINE for we've seen many visitors being ticketed and fined...and would not listen to any excuses whatsoever! Will recommend this hotel to anyone.
