I must say that I was quite dissapointed with this hotel. Yes the rooms are clean, but that is about it. The hotel has no view at all but is located about 1 block away from the main street. Is does have privete parking for about 5 cars, on a first come first serve basis (So good luck finding a spot...). The hotel room has the amenities you require from a 4 star hotel except a flat screen tv, ours was 14" and about 10+ years old. The A/C made noises all night every time the cooling element went on, which was also very anoying.

Not worth the money spent. Come here for is location 50m from the main street, dont come here for a 4 star experience or a romantic/relaxing stay.

For us, who spent 3 nights visiting Cinque Terre, this was the perfect hotel. The room was big enough for us traveling with 2 children (one with only 1 year old). The Hotel has a parking space in front who is secure enough to let a foreign car parked. I usually ask for indoor private parking, but felt safe in letting the car outside.
Breakfast was good enough with a delicious lemon cake.
Within a 10 min walk, there are several restaurants in Via del Prione, who serve more than the tradicional Pizza. The hotel has a elevator that takes us down to the shopping street level.
Staff very friendly

I picked this hotel to use as a base for going to Cinque Terre. in retrospect had i realized how easy it would be to stay in one of the actual villages and how easy the trains are i would not have selected this hotel. it was clean, but very small and no souund proofing at all. the staff was friendly but it really is a hike from the train station. the breakfast was good, it was a good value, but found that rooms in any of the 5 towns were actually cheaper. if you plan on goinf to Cinque Terre stay in one of the viallages, easy to get to and very nice

I was a bit weary before booking this hotel since some of the reviews were not so great, but for us, this hotel was perfect in all aspects. We stayed here only for two nights while visiting Cinque Terre on our honeymoon and am so glad we chose La Spezia instead of one of the actual 5 towns. La Spezia is so convenient and it has some great little restaurants, just behind the hotel where we had the best Tiramisu in all of Italy! The hotel itself is very clean and the rooms are huge compared to most Italy hotels, it was great! It also has direct access to the "Main Street" where all the shops and restaurants are located. The train station is literally two minutes away and the staff was very friendly. I would not hesitate to come back and stay here again, very very good value for the money.

This is a busy hotel- well located for seeing the Cinque Terre, and very central in La Spezia (useful for ducking back to the room to get out of the July heat).

The only complaint was that the fridge in my sister's room didn't work, which made it difficult to keep milk etc for her baby. We were told that there was nothing that could be done about that, but in every other way the staff were very accommodating regarding having a small child.

The rooms were very clean, and the breakfast was quite varied. I would recommend this hotel.

We choose this hotel as we wanted a base in La Spezia for 2 nights to visit Cinque Terre. Having read the reviews we booked direct as we received a better rate. We arrived late in the evening and were initially impressed with the receptionist and the quality of the room given. We were given a room on the 4th floor. I struggle sleeping in hotels and use ear plugs to ensure a quiet night. My wife was woken at 6 am by what we initially thought were the occupiers of the room above moving furniture and making banging noises. This continued until we got up at 8.am. We went for breakfast and found that we had a room directly under the eating area. The noise of furniture was guests getting up and down from their tables. The banging we quickly found was the coffe machine being emptied. We complained and asked to be moved. The Manager did not want to speak to us and we were offered 2 more rooms which we were not happy with. Having threatend to leave we were shown a junior suite which was in a quieter part of the hotel on the 6th floor. The quality of this room was still in our opinion not of a 4* hotel. We were thouroughly dissapointed in this hotel and will not return. On a positive note the hotel is well situated with easy access to the town centre and the train station

We found the hotel easy enough, but expect a 10 minute walk from the train station. There is an info desk at the train station where you can get a map and it is on the free one they provide.

The staff were friendly enough and check in was a breeze. Having read other reviews on the best floor to stay on I asked for one above Reception floor but these weren't available. We stayed one floor below reception but on the other side of the building and it was great. It wasn't noisy, though with the tiles you did hear alot of footsteps. The room was clean and the breakfast for us was included, and it was a very good continental breakfast with a good selection. Would definitely stay again if in La Spezia
