We stayed in a room on the 4th floor which had a truly stunning view of the bay and the boats. The hotel is situated right opposite the sea front and is about 5 minutes from the railway station. No need for a taxi. The hotel is flanked by a choice of restaurants and the shops are in the little streets imediately behind you.You really are in the middle of everything though there can be some noise from the street entertainment that can go on on some weekend evenings. This problem would be common to all the hotels in the centre of Rapallo though.
The room was spotlessly clean and the bed was huge. There was a clean en suite with all you might need though the shower is an over the bath affair and it was tricky not to get the floor wet as new shower screens are probably needed. Breakfast was served downstairs and there was a help yourself system with cereal, croissants, muffins, cakes, bread, cheese, ham, jams and so on. Fresh coffee was served at the table. Luciano is very helpful and offered lots of friendly tips and advice. We really did feel welcome and the atmosphere is very relaxed. We looked at some of the other hotels and tried to imagine the views they might have had from their rooms but decided that we were certainly in the best position. I wouldn't hesitate to return here.

My wife and I recently completed a two night stay here. We were greeted warmly at reception and taken to our room on the top floor. Room is small and bathroom very small, but all in working order. Luciano was extremely nice and helpful. Recommended an excellent restaurant just behind the hotel. Breakfast was good. Location is convenient for Rapallo and using the trains as we were visiting the Cinque Terre. A bit far away for that, but good for everything else. Very European clientele.

We stayed here this week for 7 days. Balcony with sea views. Luciano was very helpful on the front desk even filling out our custom forms for NZ when we posted a big box of presents home. The rooms were clean and tidy. Very well maintained while we stayed. We had one problem with the shower rose which was then fixed pronto!
Tourist information was very helpful ... In fact Luciano was the number one go to person. ( and weather forecaster) as we had two days of rain.
3rd floor. High enough for view and less noise
Great location on promenade and just minutes from bus top to Santa Margurite . 5 minutes away.
Lovely little town

Room Tip: 3rd floor Sea Front has good views and less noise

Our experience here was excellent. Luciano, Andrea and the rest of the team never failed to extend themselves to ensure we were having the best time. The breakfast was extensive and tasty, with coffee served at our table. The suite we were in had a view to the Ocean and busy street, but was nicely soundproofed. It is about an hour to the furthest reaches of Cinque Terre from here, but you can get to Monterossa in 40m by train (hourly departures). Treat yourself to an afternoon at the Excelsior “Eden Roc” beach club up the hill at the Excelsior. For 25 Euros/person after 2pm, it seems pricey, but is really an awesome deal with an infinity pool and ocean swimming.

Pros — First-rate people always ready to help. Rapallo is cute and walkable. Very easy five-minute walk from train. Nice breakfast. Lots of shopping and dining very close at hand.

Cons — Hard to think of any. We liked Rapallo as a Cinque Terre base, but I can imagine that if that’s your whole focus in the region you might want to stay nearer.

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights with my wife and we really really loved it. Rapallo is a perfect small town to stay and the hotel is centrally located just on the bay. We had a sea front room on the 4th floor with a nice balcony and an amazing view.
The hotel is an easy walk from the train station and Ferry stop is just in front of the hotel so it is a perfect base for visiting Cinque Terre and Portofino.
Staff and especially the owner Luciano was very friendly and helpful.
We wish to stay here again and would recommend it to anyone.

We stayed at this small hotel for two nights. We found it to be very comfortable, clean, and functional. The owner was very gracious and helpful. We had a sea front room and it indeed was sea front. We also had a small balcony which was delightful for sitting in the morning and evening. The breakfast was simple compared to others we had, but that said, it was very good and hit the spot. I would stay here again and would recommend it to anyone. It is a 5 minute, easy walk to the train station.

Room Tip: I would opt for the sea front rooms. The view is beautiful indeed.
