Cannot say enough good things about the Hotel and staff at Villa Anita. This place needs to have a higher star rating!! Breakfast is outstanding and incl. in the room rate, as is parking!
A family run hotel they are so friendly and helpful, gave us maps and timetables for the local attractions trains/boats. There were three of us in one room, the owner gave a choice of rooms, a smaller room with a view or a larger room with a view of the car park...we picked the larger room. Upon checking out we were given a discount as he said, he felt badly for our poor view!!
Loved it..Would absolutely stay here again!

We stayed in a room on a lower floor with a terrace. the room was okay. It was probably the second least favorite of our trip - we stayed in 5 hotels / B & B 's. .This room was also the most expensive of our trip ( and we were in the South of France for 4 nights before this!) -this wasn't so clear to me in our emails - I think I told them what I wanted and what I wanted to pay and they responded by saying the price - and just assumed I was ok with it without actually agreeing to it. The lower room with the terrace turned out to be £30 more. I may have felt better about value for the money if we had stayed in another room but not sure if there is an elevator here and we sure try to avoid schlepping our bags up so many stairs! We just stayed here two nights and arrived at the dinner hour on the first night. When we pulled in it was dark and we couldn't see where to park .... There is a place for cars ... however it is a tight area and cars are parked for you after you give them your keys. It's then their job to juggle them around so that your car is available when you need it. Not knowing this was the case, we got in the hotel and realized we had left certain toiletries in the car and it was too late to get them. I would say that it is still worth having free parking but we didn't realize that it would mean bothering someone at night to get into our vehicle. The breakfast was very nice and it was great to see eggs in the morning! The hot tub was nice -just warm, could have been heated more - but we enjoyed a nice soak one afternoon before dinner and after a long day in Portofino. We were able to get / order wine and some munches out there too!. Area restaurants were good We ate at La Lampura one night and it was very nice - we stayed almost till close talking with some folks we had just met at another table and the restaurant was very gracious. Loved the pesto and looked for some local store to buy some - since this is the area where pesto originated- but it proved more difficult than one would think to buy some. Had some good gelato on the waterfront by a small pizzeria - went back there a few times for more! You' ll know you're at the right gelato shop when you walk in and see a wall on the left covered in photos of patrons eating their gelato!

Travelling about Italy we decided to add a few days and booked the Villa Anita the last minute- a welcoming quaint place just off the main streets. Quiet and cleaned and quite comfortable. All the amenities. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was one if the best in our 14 days in the road. A place not to miss

Room Tip: 104 suited us perfectly - even a little balcony to sit and view the garden and pool from above

We stayed at this hotel for three nights last week at the end of our Italian vacation. We found this hotel on Trip Advisor and were not disappointed. The staff at the hotel are most welcoming and the lady owner was very helpful with advising on how to get to the Cinque Terre. Our room was very clean and tidy with a new bathroom and a balcony. The breakfast was probably the best that we had on our entire vacation as it had a huge selection and the first place that had scrambled eggs. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends. There was also a lovely swimming pool with loungers located in the grounds of the hotel.

Best breakfast with bubbly every morning. We checked in for two nites and stayed four. The service was great. They moved our luggage as we kept adding more days. Emilia was so accommodating. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean and the balconies were nice as well. The best room is room 104. Location was great - easy to catch the train to Cinque Terre and the ferry to Portofino. I wish I could have been here in the summer to enjoy the sunshine and pool/jacuzzi. Cafe del Porto was really good for dinner and we enjoyed a great lunch at the Hotel Helios.
