Reviewed 30 September 2012

Situated in the centre of Cour Cheverny and easy to locate. Large car park which is locked at night, but with entry number for residents. A short distance from Cheverney Chateau and convenient for visiting other chateaus including Chambord and Blois.
Hotel has a nice appearance with tables and chairs outside and welcoming helpful staff. The rooms appear a little dated, but are of reasonable size and clean. The bed is a little on the small side, but comfortable although the bed spread did have some holes in it. The room contained reasonable storage, small flat screen TV, small desk, two chairs, pictures and hair dryer. Reasonable bathroom with shower, basin and toilet - all clean. Shower / shampoo gel provided. No safe in room or tea / coffee making equipment.
Although states that wi fi provided this did not appear to work in room or reception area during our stay.
A very nice restaurant with excellent food and service - probably the hotels best point.
Reasonably priced for this area and representing very good value in my view.

Room Tip: All roms appear to be similar. We had a room to the front overlooking road, but noise was not an iss...

Food is the priority here and it does not disappoint- the manager is very efficient and th rooms are clean and tidy. We loved it here and wished we had stayed for another night! It is in walking distance of the chateau and the rooms are very reasonably priced for the height of the season.the town is lovely and has all the amenities that you need. Long may these types of hotels thrive!

I took advice from trip advisor reviews on this place and yet again it paid off-the manager is excellent and attentive and the hotel is kept really well. The restaurant produces beautiful food and this is a quaint little breakfast room that serves a good hearty breakfast. Don't expect to get your corporate chain rooms here, it is good basic accommodation with the food, as always in France, being the piece de resistance. The village is beautiful and don't miss the chateaux either!

Room Tip: Our room overlooked restaurant but there was no problem with noise

I liked this hotel . The rooms were nice . They're a little faded but with a rather nice character to them which makes them feel comfortable . There's a pleasant area outside to enjoy a beer in the evening . Staff are friendly and helpful .
The restaurant is very popular and was very busy on the Sunday evening we stayed . That put a lot of pressure on the waiting staff so a few mistakes occurred and service tended to be a bit slow . In fact in hind-sight they struggled manfully in difficult circumstances so it would be unfair to criticise their efforts . The food was exceptionally good and beautifully presented and I can see why the place is popular . Perhaps as we'd done a long day on our bikes we could have used more bulk but that is not a negative view of a fine restaurant .
The price of the room and the meal was very reasonable . I'd like to stay here again .

Cheverny is an agreeable little town close to Blois and Chambord and the St Hubert is a pleasant little hotel in the French country tradition with good food and all at a decent price. It rates as a couple of chimneys and coccottes on the Logis grading scales which was about right. Off road parking and a restaurant open Sundays and Mondays.

Dining room decor a horrible shade of orange but otherwise recommended!

Our meal at Hotel St Hubert was not a good one. The restaurant apparently specialises in wildlife so we chose from the lower priced menu a number of specialities. They were items from a wild boar and were rank in the extreme. Perhaps this is normal, but I doubt it. Two bottles of corked wine were served so we switched to a different one. Desserts were poorly conceived and assembled. Slices of grapefruit with an indifferent sorbet. I'm sure there must be far better places available.
We were not staying at the hotel.
