We traveled from Milano Cadorna station by train. One our trip. 4.5 euro was the cost of one ticket in the vending machine just in front of the station. In spite of heavy rain [umbrella is futile in such a weather you need a rain coat and waterproof shoes or just sandals!] we enjoyed a beautiful boat 2 hour ride to Bellagio with spectacular images of mountains surrounding the lake. In Bellagio we had a long walk along the narrow streets with nice restaurants, shops and art studios. Gardens, old XIII-th century church, and spectacular view from riviera to opposite city and mountains are a must do. And a Tiramisu cake and an expresso coffee [or a glass of red italian wine?] in one of the small restaurants in front of the boat-house from Bellagio can be memorable.
