“Best restaurant in Bergamo!”
Reviewed 10 October 2013

A nice walk from the upper end of the old town in Bergamo, this has to be the best restaurant in the city!!!! We were two families - the food was delicious, the service great, they were fantastic with the kids! I love gnocchi - the chestnut, gorgonzola and apple gnocchi served here is worth travelling to Bergamo for!! The rest of the party loved what they had too! You can eat very good Italian food in the old town or fabulous Italian food here for half the price - take the walk to Parietti and eat the best!!

“Mediocre.”
Reviewed 10 October 2013

My Husband & I went here with a couple of friends. It looked really promising from the outside, very quaint outside area.

The decor inside was quite unusual, it seemed to have a mishmash of old, new & some gaudy looking decorations..personally speaking I thought it took away from the authenticity!! These are the first things one notice.
The service in the restaurant was fine, the waiter was friendly and did help as much as possible. We shared salad, potatoes & a couple of pasta dishes. In conclusion, the food & athmosphere was average..nothing to write home about.

“Pleasant Restaurant”
Reviewed 25 August 2013

This restaurant is just up the road from B&B La Casa di Campagna, just outside the Old City of Bergamo. We went here twice when we stayed 4 nights at La Casa di Campagna and found it a nice and pleasant dining experience. The restaurant has an authentic atmoshpere and the staff are friendly, helpful and speak English. What was a great help as well, was that the menu card had photos in it of the dishes that are served. Great for those of us who can't read Italian or don't know what a particular dish is! They food was lovely, which is, together with the aspects I mentioned before, the reason we went back the following night. And not totally unimportant: The price was very reasonable.

“Simple, Tasty and Fun.”
Reviewed 19 June 2013

We enjoyed a lovely meal on our final evening in Bergamo at the Trattoria Parietti. We hadn't booked but we were lucky enough to get their last remaining table for two on a Sunday evening. The restaurant seemed to be filled with locals and was far enough away from the Old Town (about 10 minutes walk) to not be touristy.

We shared a platter of mixed cooked meats, including Venison, Horsemeat (been wanting to knowingly try it for a while) and Wild Bore. For mains it was Beef and Pasta, of which were delicious, accompanied by a fine bottle of very reasonably priced Chianti.

The waiters were fun and friendly and although not all spoke English (which was nice), they were all very helpful.

For a delicious, simple Italian meal you won't do too much better than this.

“Lovely authentic restaurant”
Reviewed 5 June 2013

The food and atmosphere was so good we returned the next evening. Lots of locals eating here. Good value. Décor of restaurant unusual - painting of Bergamo countryside scene all round the walls, floor to ceiling - very authentic local feel to it. Booking probably necessary.
