Description: Porta Osio takes the name from a door in the old wall surrounding the city and conserve some walls embedded in the building. Forty seats to be cuddled in tranquillity. The restaurant has been standing out for the first -class choice of cold cuts and cheeses, first of all the Pata Negra, the real Iberian ham "de bellota" (acorn). Among the offers there are always first quality French oysters, Mazara del Vallo scampi and Sicilian red prawns, crudites that perfectly combine with the champagnes in the list. The selection of meats like ribs, Florentine T-Bone steaks and sliced beef always of important sizes served on a soapstone is excellent. The menu follows products seasonality.

this small restaurant, enoteca is not far from Piazza Pontida or "Triangolo" where you can park your car easily. Better is to come not with the own car as the wines are great and also if served with very good food it is better not to drive afterwards.
Staff is very friendly, helpful and knows what they are serving.
Try their raw seafood, shrimp or also the "tagliata" - just great food. Only the bavarese was not as expected and the next time I would try some other deserts.
Try different wine to each dish .....we started with a dry Prosecco and finished with some good desert wine ( always also by the glass).

We have dined three times there and we are excited to return there. Diego will guide you through the world of wine and Le Chef Nicholas will excite your senses, everything in a friendly still professional way.
Our favorite restaurant in Bergamo and also in top ten on our list (worldwide).

Having seen some positive reviews, we had high hopes for this restaurant, but sadly we came away having not really enjoyed our evening and were disappointed we had not gone elsewhere. While the food was by no means awful we didn’t feel it was special enough to merit the relatively high prices. We could have eaten 2 or 3 times over for what we’d paid here and ourselves more.
Our waiter was helpful and courteous doing his best to explain the menu, but the atmosphere was just too pretentious and un-relaxed as we ate in near silence with other diners in the front part of the restaurant.
I don’t think we were the only ones to think the food was not 100%. The diner at the next table returned his main course, which we believe wasn’t cooked properly or was perhaps not as fresh as it might have been – it did smell incredibly fishy, in a bad way!
