This waterside restaurant was recommended to us and it was well worth the walk from Bellagio over a cobblestoned up hill and down dale path. We were the only patrons when we arrived and had our pick of the tables right beside the water. In fact we were so close to the water that a duck hopped up for a nap in the pot plant next to me! We had a beautiful baked trout with salad and a local white wine, then shared a tiramisu. It was so good we decided to return another day just for dessert! Reasonable prices and good food, but the setting is what makes this place so special. I'd have been happy just to sit and take in the view of Lake Como all day long.

This family run spot has wonderful views and very nice options for lunch. Reasonable price. Misto di Lago for a started is a must! Only compliant would be the younger generation seems a little less than thrilled to be in the business. Could have been Germany for all the charm put into the service. Still worth the short walk over the hill from downtown Bellagio.

It was only after visiting this place by accident today that I decided to look up comments post experience. I must say that most reviews have got it spot on! The setting is idyllic over the hill and away from the bustle of Bellagio, you come across the hotel/restaurant and immediately think - great....lunch. Then the issues start piling up -the front door was locked presumably to keep the passing hoi polloi out ....knocking however produced a result and we were rather grumpily shown the terrace ....beautiful! It was approximately one third full with the best lakeside tables bar one already taken. The one untaken table had recently been vacated and had not been cleared. Upon indicating we would like that one and would be prepared to wait, were told that it was a table for four and as we were two we were shown another one further back. This was not a bad table but not
the one we wanted, particularly as within five minutes of sitting down the desired table was cleared
and given to another couple. Irritating or what?? The service was at best adequate but lacked any
of the normal welcoming charm one associates with Italian restaurants. The staff seemed to relish avoiding eye contact and went about their business with a soulless, perfunctory attitude more akin
to certain 'up themselves' French establishments. This service was capped when trying to pay the
bill, with the waitress taking a lengthy phone call during our transaction and keeping us waiting.
I'm a fairly well traveled, tolerant person but this experience has caused me to put pen to paper
and unload my frustrations ....so easily put right. By the way, the food was delicious....an excellent
lakefish antipasti followed by a superb vegetable risotto. The vino bianco de la casa was good
value too. I wonder if they've ever bothered to read any of these tripadvisor comments ...they have such a huge advantage over everyone else in Bellagio just with their location.

We walked from Bellagio following one of the trails and headed to Pescallo for lunch. It is set in a serene jewelled harbour looking across the lake. We had only a salad Caprese and the Insalata La Pergola (a full salad with smoked trout) and a beer. This lasted for 90 minutes while we chatted and absorbed the views and tranquility. Finally a coffee and we were off to continue our walk
The staff were friendly and extremely well trained; we plan to go back one evening for dinner (but must reserve a table)

Beautiful view on edge of lake. Waiter and owner must be "French" they were rude and ignored us. Service was slow portions small and bill high $$$$ all added up to a lousey experience. The owner billed us for wrong meals and was offended when I asked him to correct his error.
