The best hotel we stayed during our 2 weeks trip to France&Italy. The staffs was so kind and very helpful. The breakfast was very good. We had a room with a big balcony overlooking the town and lake Como and we enjoyed our evening sitting on the balcony and drinking wines. Bellagio was truly heaven on earth. The town was very pretty and laid back. I really enjoyed the ferry rides to the beautiful towns on Lake Como. Words can't describe the beauty. I cried having to leave. Bellagio and Belvedere Hotel really captured my heart:)

Room Tip: Choose rooms with lake view and balcony.

We stayed at the Belvedere Hotel from 5th to 12th May 2012 basing our choice on location and trip advisor reviews. The location is just perfect and we had an amazing week in Bellagio. The Hotel Restaurant was a delight and being veggie we had no issues with the food although on occassions the choice was limited (they do have a seperate veggie menu) but the quality was very high. The Staff (espcially Rosie) couldn't do enough for you and it was obvious how important it was that you enjoyed your meal. The grounds were immaculate and the Swimming Pool, Spa and ambience of the Hotel was a joy. The only major dissapointment was our Room...it was on the lower level over looking the lake (fantastic view) but the fittings and decor was like something out of the 70's and had definately seen better days (our room number was 505). The Air Con just didn't work properly, the shower room (no bath) was is a very sad state and it was just grim and dark and smelt damp also. It was just such a let down as the rest of the Hotel was perfect. We travelled with Citailia so I think all the lower rooms are allocated to them. I would stay at this Hotel again don't get me wrong but I would not want to stay in one of those Rooms again espcially considering how much they charge for them. Enjoy Bellagio, you will have a fantastic time.

My wife and I stayed at the Belvedere for the last week in May and we both thoroughly enjoyed Bellagio, Lake Como and the hotel. As others have said it is out of the town up some steep steps from the lakeside but still only a 10 – 15 minute stroll to the ferry points. The arrival set the tone as the receptionist showed us to our room (605) which is slightly below the pool level in a small separate block and our bags were delivered a few moments later. The room was small but perfectly adequate with a nice shower and supplied toiletries. No tea or coffee by the way so either bring your own kettle or expect to pay for drinks at the small bar or order from room service or by the pool.
The view is spectacular and even from our lower level definitely worth getting. We had a small patio with table and chairs and loungers on the grass in front. We had booked half board with Inghams and were very pleasantly surprised by the choice, service and standard of the evening meal. We had dinner outside on the terrace a couple of times and I’m sure this is a more regular occurrence in the high season.
Altogether a great hotel with excellent staff always professional, friendly and helpful and don’t seem to mind my feeble attempts at speaking Italian (they all speak excellent English).

Room Tip: Any room with a lake view. A balcony is a bonus

We stayed in Apartment 372 at the Belvedere Hotel for 5 nights with our 3 children. The apartment was very large, clean and peaceful and there were actually 3 single beds for each of the children, rather than the normal sofa bed for the 3rd child. The apartment is in the bulding next to the hotel, very secure and we were able to use all of the facilities at the hotel which was excellent. We enjoyed using the gym, day spa and pool area. We ate in the restaurant one evenig and that too was very nice. We found the staff at reception to be very helpful and very hospitable. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The view from the apartment was just amazing. We loved Bellagio and would not hesitate to stay at the Belvedere Hotel again.

We travelled to bellagio in july 2012 with my husband and teenage daughter. From the moment that we arrived at this hotel I knew it would be wonderful, the outside looked well maintained and beautiful. We were seen to quickly at the reception then given brochures about Bellagio. The wonderful receptionist answered all our questions then showed us to our room. We had booked a double room with a fold out sofa. WE WERE DELIGHTED TO SEE THEY HAD THe sofa bed ready for my daughter as usually you have to argue with the manager for a half an hour befor you can get someone to set up the sofa bed! afterwards we had lunch in the lovely lake front restaurant and enjoyed some delicious lasange! we also loved the pool which was clean and a lovely temperature. It was about a 5 minute walk to the centre of bellagio from the hotel (contrary to other reviews was NOT an uphil walk) overall was a wonderful holiday! would definetly stay there AGAIN!

Room Tip: Definetly get one with a balcony and a lake view

This was our first visit to Lake Como and for me it was the most beautiful and relaxing place I have ever been. The Hotel Belvedere was an excellant choice. We had a Superior Front Lake View room with a patio. The view was outstanding.

We found the staff very friendly and always willing to help. The room was kept very clean during our stay. We fully enjoyed the meals. We were there for a week on half board and never got tired of the dinners with a good variety and change on the menu.

My wife has a wheat allergy and the resaturant staff handled this superbly with providing gluten free items with no fuss and discretely.

Although we did not use it there was a lovelly pool, jacuzzi and spa facilities

Would fully recommned.

Room Tip: The seperate old building patio rooms have your loungers and some good privacy.
