“Heavenly visit”

Hotel Belvedere scores for outstanding in every category. The staff is extraordinarily helpful, attentive and engaging. We especially call out for high praise Hotel Manager Laura Molinari, Oscar -- waiter exemplar, and Chiara and Federica -- so helpful and knowledgeable at Reception. The location is perfect for access to the town, ferries and wonderful walks in every direction. The views are spectacular -- especially the view from the restaurant. We stayed in one of the hotel's apartments, featuring an excellent view, value and beautifully outfitted. Dinners in the restaurant were excellent and accommodated both meat and vegetarian tastes. We thoroughly enjoyed Hotel Belvedere and give it highest recommendations.

We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and the staff made our stay fantastic. I can't say enough about the staff, they were very helpful with all of our questions and requests. Giovanna, Silvia, Valentina, and Chiara and Alberto and the bartenders of course. I'm sorry that I can't remember everyone's name, but you get my drift. The location is excellent with fantastic views of the lake. Make sure you request a room with Lake views and a balcony well in advance and request in the main building. What's nice about this location is you're only a 5 minute walk into town away from all of the tourists and crowds and ferries. So after eating in town you get to walk off your meal which is a nice way to the end of a day. The staff made us feel like family. Thank you Hotel Belvedere for making our stay memorable !! We wish you all success, and hope to be back in the near future... Grazia,, The Garofalo's

We were pampered from arrival to departure by everyone. The room was spotless, the grounds and gardens perfectly manicured, excellent facilities including pool, spa, gym, sauna snd wellness centre, the food and views make dining a memorable experience. Overall I rate my stay here as better than l'hotel du collectionneur in Paris.

By all means this is a lovely hotel and has the makings of being a great hotel, location half way up a hill away from the main town is a trek as you need to go into town for some life but the views are worth the walk and get a lake view very dramatic landscape.
The hotel overall is quiet even for height of season no problems with sunbeds although umbrellas around the pool would be beneficial but not available unless you go on the grass areas so you are very exposed to the sun if you wanted to stay around the pool no shade at all, jacuzzi amazing, relax with views across the lake. Only had one meal at the hotel which wasn,t great so ate in town rest of holiday which was cheaper too they do load up the prices for food and drink, the spa faciilities that are free are lovely as the spa is very plush but the prices for treatments are way too high, usually have a least 3-4 treatments when we go away but for here just one would have cost the same as 3 or 4 elsewhere so gave that a miss, a shame as they would get a load more customers if they halved the prices and even then they would not be cheap! poor girl was not exactly rushed off her feet the whole time we were there. We stayed in the apartments which were very spacious and well equipped but get one with a balcony and on the first or second floor no lifts and lots of stairs
overall a good place to stay but 3 stars are really what your getting but for a 4/5 star price.

This was our first visit to the hotel, (August 2013) beautifully located with stunning scenery overlooking the lake. Ideal for a quiet, peaceful and restful holiday. Hotel staff were extremely helpful and courteous and I felt every effort was made on their part to make our stay enjoyable. Food was excellent, we were on a half board basis, breakfast and dinner very good. Cleanliness, both public areas and bedrooms very clean. Beautiful gardens and pool area very well tended, everything is done to a very high standard. We certainly had a most enjoyable lovely stay and look forward to returning.

Room Tip: Choose a lakeside view, well worth, scenery unbelievably beautiful.

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Belvedere for four nights whilst travelling through Europe. We picked this hotel so we could relax in the middle of our trip, we were not disappointed!

We loved the Hotel Belvedere! How it can be only a 3 Star is beyond me, it would easily be 4 or 5 star in the UK.

All the staff were very friendly and helpful. It is clear that giving excellent service is high on their priority! On check in Valentina took us to our room to make sure we were happy with it (we paid extra for a Lake View, wow it was amazing!!). Andrea at the pool is very friendly and works incredibly hard to make sure everyone is happy and looked after. We used the Spa facilities daily which are excellent. Sara also made sure we were comfortable and we both had a massage which was to a high standard and well needed after so much walking.

The breakfast is also of a high standard, as usually is the case in Italy. We ate dinner once in the hotel, this turned out to be our best meal in Bellagio, very romantic dining with a view of the lake while the sun goes down. The food was excellent and we were well looked after by Rose (say cheese, Formaggi!).

We celebrated our 1st year wedding anniversary while there and they gave us a complimentary bottle of Prosecco, which we drank while sitting on our balcony over looking the lake and mountains, surely it doesn't get any better than that!

The cleaning team came into our room twice per day. In the morning to do the usual clean and again late afternoon just to neaten up the room, once again showing attention to detail.

If we return to Lake Como in the future we wouldn't hesitate to return to the Hotel Belvedere, 5 star service and facilities! Couldn't recommend enough!!

The location is perfect, it is away from the town center and the associated tourist noise, just tucked away up on the hills, a short 5-10 mins easy walk. The hotel has a private parking lot if you arrive by car.

We booked the room with lake view. The room is very small and the bathroom is small even for my wife who has a petite figure. I am glad we spent the extra to get a lake view room because the view was just spectacular.

The pool was spotless clean and the jacuzzi facing the lake was a stunning experience.

The breakfast in the morning was good with good quality food and drink.

Overall, a great experience.

Room Tip: Spend the extra and get the lake view room, worth every penny!
