This hotel has everything going for it. The location, set alongside Lake Como with it's small villages fringing the lake and beautiful mountains forming the backdrop make for a perfect setting. The accommodation we had was beautifully clean with our own small patio where we sat each night to enjoy the calm of the lake in the early evening. The pool was beautifully kept and always manned. Without exception the staff were warm, welcoming and efficient. An aperitif by the pool in the balmy evening before dinner was a special treat. The dining room has uninterrupted views of the lake and we ate al fresco on most nights. We chose half board as we were a group of 8 and half board took away any problems in choosing restaurants each night. The food was of a high standard with plenty of choice.
We also had the option of having lunch rather than dinner if we wanted to explore the delights of Bellagio.
Depending on which rooms you get there may be some daily hill and stair climbing - not a huge problem but should be borne in mind. If you have problems with hills you can always request a room in the main building that will obviate the need to walk uphill.
I have no hesitation in strongly recommending this hotel.More
