“Restaurant only, was quite nice”

Didn't stay there, but pool and grounds looked really nice. Stopped by for lunch on the patio and had a very nice meal from a super friendly waiter. Hotel is far enough up from Bellagio town center to seem nice and relaxed. Would definitely consider staying there.

The Belvedere is a gem, immaculately maintained and well staffed. We had a lake side room on the upper floors of the main building and the view was simply incredible. The room was good sized (by European standards) and tastefully appointed, with a small balcony. Though it was pricey, we felt it was worth it for the brief time we had to spend in the Lake Como district. Located just outside of 'downtown' Bellagio, it's a short walk down to the shops, restaurants and ferries (the walk back up the hill is a little more challenging, but makes for a good 'digestif' after dinner in town.) We had dinner in the restaurant one night, which was very nice, but formal. The food was very good and the wait staff was top notch and friendly. The breakfast buffet was quite good and had a large selection to choose from, not to mention the stunning view of the lake from the dining room. The grounds and gardens are beautiful and it's away from the crowds in town, making it an excellent place to flake out and enjoy a relaxing view of the lake and surroundings. The town of Bellagio is a bit bigger and makes a great central location for exploring the neighboring towns via ferry. The free parking was a lovely perk that capped off an easy drive up from Milan through the countryside and along the lake. Though I haven't stayed at other properties around the Lake Como area, I would venture to say the Belvedere deserves it's top ranking. Molto bello!

Room Tip: Lakeside rooms on the upper floors of the main building have a spectacular view!

My husband and I spent 2 days at Hotel Belvedere, Bellagio and were pleased with the view because we got the lake view room as opposed to some friends travelling with us who got very average rooms without a view. Situated uphill rather than by the lake and walking distance to the lake, restaurants, boats and the shopping was more peaceful. The breakfast was good and parking was free. The staff were extremely helpful. The price of this place was a bit steep though as compared to the other hotels by the lake with equally stunning views at less than half of what we paid. It's worth exploring other hotels if you can pay less and get more!

This hotel really is special. The staff are delightful, the views are breathtaking, but make sure you have a lake view! The heated pool and infinity jacuzzi are stunning, food excellent, rooms not large but good nonetheless. Bellagio is a beautiful village, probably the best on Como with good shops, cafes and restaurants and of course the wonderful ferry system.
The only down side is the walk into it from the Hotel, yes it is only 10 minutes max and downhill is just fine. Uphill is a little tough and if you need any sort of assistance then it is not easy at all. Also take comfy shoes, the cobbles on the hills are hard on your feet.
We stayed for 10 days and the weather was mixed so maybe 7 days is about right as a maximum. For us the whole place was magical.

Room Tip: Lake view is a must and a balcony if possible.

My wife and I have stayed at the Hotel Belvedere every year for the last 14 years and it just gets better and better. There is a wide choice of clean and well serviced rooms. The exceptional panoramic view of the lake and the very friendly and accommodating staff make it, in my view, the best hotel in Italy's most beautiful town of Bellagio. Add to this the Terrace Restaurant, the Spa, swimming pool and lovely gardens and this hotel is worthy of much more than its current 3 star rating.

Room Tip: Whilst rooms in the main building are great, those in the gardens provide a different and pleasing a...

We booked this as a tailor made holiday through Kuoni, we booked a classic garden room. We were greeted really warmly, a complimentary drink was given to us at reception then they walked us to our room, the porter delivered our bags. The room was in a separate building under the pool. This was a real disadvantage as it was a steep walk to and from the main building and as the weather was really awful we were frequently wet before arriving at the main building where all the facilities were.

The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the centre of Bellagio where there are shops and restaurants. It's a slightly longer walk to the ferries but manageable either walking round the road or cutting down the steep steps.

The restaurant in the hotel was very expensive, we are there one night and the food was very nice but we felt there were better places in the area to eat. Breakfast was very nice a very extensive buffet. The coffee was really good as were the pastries.

The staff and view are the outstanding features of this hotel. I know the weather is not something anyone can influence but it is very inconvenient going from an out building to the restaurant or bar in the poring rain.
