Lovely hotel with quality finishes in a lovely area. A short walk into town through Villa Melzi gardens along the water. It costs 3 euro a day but was worth the money as it was superb. Free parking.
The room was fairly small but newly renovated with a lovely bathroom but lacked soap holder. Had a room with a balcony over Lake Como but the neighbours were sunning themselves on their balcony (the whole time we were there) and we didn’t feel we wanted to share with them (they were very close with no privacy screen) so we didn’t use ours.
The restaurant food was very nice. The fish of the day was minced fish balls which were a little disappointing. The view was fantastic at night over the water. Service good, fairly slow but the restaurant was full.
Breakfast was free and very nice.
We would stay again but the hotel just lacked a little bit of atmosphere and lacked a personal touch by the staff.More
