couldn't pick a better location.. on the 3rd floor with a small balcony - the view was amazing.. sadly very stormy our 1st day but got some great moody shots from the balcony of the lake. our third day was amazing blue sky and after visiting 2 places during the day we spent a couple of hours just sitting on the balcony watching the boats... great sun trap in the afternoon.

room has been done recently - it was clean, comfy bed. does exactly what it should do.. comfy room, good shower, perfect location. served its purpose for us..

the only negative for me is that the staff are quite cold, no recognition from staff or even warm friendly greetings. from breakfast, bar or from reception.. very cold - which is a shame..a little more effort would make a world of difference. i work in the same industry and it makes a huge difference between an average stay and really enjoying your stay. maybe its because bellagio is more of a transit place - 2-4 days.

Room Tip: lake view is a must

My husband, teenage son and I stayed in a triple room for two nights in April 2014. The triple room on the first floor (one flight up) was very spacious. The room had two separate bedrooms, one with a twin sized bed and the other with a full sized bed. Each room had a chair, small table and armoire as well as a small tv. The bathroom was spacious and had a glass shower stall with good water pressure and nice amenities. The bedrooms had doors that opened to a patio that had tables, chairs and a great view of Lake Como and the mountains.
The included breakfast pretty much included everything! The self serve spread included fried eggs, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, various cold meats and cheeses, croissants, pastries, tarts, cakes, breads, rolls, yogurt, fresh fruit and dried fruit, milk, various juices, American coffee, tea and a machine that made great cappuccino but also made hot cocoa and other drinks. I am sure I left stuff out, there was a lot! Breakfast was served in the elegant dining room right on the Lake.
Staff were very nice and check in and check out were a breeze. The free wifi signal was very strong. The location was great, right off the last stop of the bus from Como Lago and right outside the ferry station. The entire city is walkable but just beware there are many stairs! It is definitely a good workout especially after eating all the great food in Bellagio.
I highly recommend staying in this hotel and look forward to returning one day.

We stayed here for a long weekend. The hotel is small but has everything you need. Rooms are basic, very clean and above average in size. All of the staff were were nice and speak English really well. The gentleman who is charge of the breakfast service was particularly nice and helpful. The breakfast buffet was very good. Lots of fruit and a large selection of pastries as well as ham eggs and cheeses. We never had a meal here in the evening.
The hotel is in the perfect location so that you can walk everywhere. There is a boat trip pick up stop just across the road from the hotel.

We stayed here for three nights during our honeymoon. The hotels location could not be any better, short distance to the ferry and right on the lake front. We were paid for a lake view room and were completely blown away with the view that we had! The room itself was not elaborate ,but very clean and spacious. The service was superb, and after requesting an iron one night ,we received a knock at the door not even 15 seconds later with an iron and ironing board. I would definitely stay here again, Lake Como is so beautiful and romantic, and there are some fabulous restaurants on your doorstep! We ate in the hotel restaurant one night and found it very good with a friendly and attentive service.

Room Tip: Lake view!!!

My wife and I traveled to Bellagio for a day excursion from Milan but once we got there we had to stay the night. The key component was the hotel so we went from hotel to hotel looking and trying to get a connection with something that rang true. We stepped into the Metropole and the greeting was warm and welcoming. We asked to see a room and when they took us to what seemed like the second floor they showed us a room that was nothing truly spectacular until we went out on the balcony and the view of Lake Cuomo not to mention a balcony that was bigger than our room took our breath away. I went and got a bottle of wine from the cellar up the path from the hotel and there we stayed sipping our wine while the ferry came and went at regular intervals. The photo on my profile is from that afternoon. The coffee cup did just fine as a goblet. It didn't matter the bed was a little stiff. The location was to die for. We fully intend on going back but this time we're staying a week and exploring the towns around the lake more extensively.

The title says it all... We stayed here 17-19 October 2013. The hotel is on the best spot of Lake Como I reakon. The views from our balcony from Room #227 were superb...

Our room was simple but very elegant, with a lovely comfy bed. As our room was a corner room we had two balconies. One with the full lake view and even though it is rather small it still had two chairs so we could enjoy our wine overlooking the lovely sunset on the lake. The other on the side was smaller and not really big for people but you could open the door to view the lake front street and restaurants.

All staff were so helpful and pleasing, and enjoyed attending your needs.

The hotel has two eating places, one full restaurant and one sort of a cafe. We ate at the restaurant twice and thoroughly recommend the food and the service. And you are seated right on the water front!

Breakfast included in the very good value price of our stay and the choice was quite good to start your day of sightseeing.

If you dont want to eat at the hotel, there are several restaurants just outside the front door of the hotel.

Will only want to stay here if we return to Bellagio...

And do yourself a favour guys. If you go here pay the little extra for one of the full lake view rooms with balcony. It is definately worth it. And your wife/partner will love you for it...

Room Tip: Definately pay the little extra for a full lake view room with balcony. So worth it. Room #227 is a...

We were fortunate to stay here for three nights on the recommendation of my brother.
We booked room 340A, a relatively small room with a million dollar view of Lake Como. Bellagio Is the center of the action, with easy connections to most other interesting sites on the lake. Walking into the room and throwing open the French doors was wonderful. The balcony outside our room was compact, but easily allowed for two people to sit comfortably in the best seat view of the lake and all the comings and goings of the ferry boats and the taxis. Without question, the best location in the best locale in Lake Como. But furthermore, the very best hotel deal of our entire 20 day European vacation. Can't say enough good things about this hotel. Great service, ideal location, outstanding restaurant, includes excellent breakfast each morning. Ask at the restaurant for rolls to feed the ducks. If I could give a hotel more than a 5 rating, this would be it.

Room Tip: All rooms are wonderful, but suggest a room with a front Lake view.
