We spent 4 nights in this lovely hotel. We just loved our room, the decoration was really nice and romantic and room was extremely clean. They also cleaned every day. The breakfast was good and included lots of things like bread, cheese, ham and fruits. And the coffee was one of the best I ever had! Also the "garden area" was really beautiful and nice.

Found this place after alot of trawling on the internet. Were skeptical before we got there as they seem to play themselves down alot and they are a bit cheaper than others. Have to say, when we got there the place was perfect! Put any other places around the area to shame! So what did we get? - Beautiful quaint room with nice little en-suite and a sky light (with electric cover) and two windows. The whole feel and look of the room is not like anywhere I've stayed before which really gave it its charm. It has to be said, very clean too :) In addition, there is free wi-fi (although not great reception in all the rooms, from what they told me). There is even a little room beside the upper terrace with a laptop that anyone is welcome to use. The breakfast was quite typical continental / Italian breakfast and have to say was very nice. The thing that struck me the most about the place, however, has to be how modest the owner and staff were. They have a real gem there which is perfectly located in Bellagio but they seem to play it down alot. If I were to think of one negative it would be that they have no parking. However, we found free parking no problem for the duation of the stay. If you plan on staying here, there is restricted access to the town centre so make sure you let the hotel know that you will have a car so they can assist you and make arrangements so you don't get clamped or towed. Ask them for the free park areas. Enjoy! :)

This was a excellent value for money. Clean, well furnished with a continental breakfast which made up for some of the meals we experienced in Bellagio.

The hotel was everything others have commented upon. Just right for persons who do not want the masses and costs that go with it. Family/owners nice people!

A few tips re eating out. Avoid restaurants in Bellagio like the plague. Overcharging for essentially pasta and spaggeti, best to go outside. Great riverside cafe if you walk through Villa Metzi past D'Arsenna Restaurant to spit of land where there is pontoon for swimming. Saw meals being cooked at reasonable prices with great service from gorgeous girls.

Darsena Restaurant is also recommended but difficult to get there and back in evening unless you have transport.

Bellagio is a place to stay for one or two days and use as a base. I have to state that we we disappointed with the Town, its beautiful but the area does not compare with Lake Garda where there is so much more going on.

Best eating was at Lenno at Ristorante Plinio, beautiful view from covered terrace and excellent well cooked food in gourmet style.

We stayed here for 2 nights was a great little place. Perfect location for bellagio, we had a room with a terrace which was lovely in the evening. The hotel has traditional decor which adds to the attraction, free wi fi and a lovely breakfast. If we came back would stay here again

We were blessed to be able to spend 4 days in Bellagio on Lago de Como and were equally lucky to be able to rest our weary legs at Hotel Centrale at the end of each day. The name says it all - 'centrale' location - to the point of needing to park the hire car next to the church in the centre of town to unload our bags. The staff went above and beyond what we would expect from a tourist hotel in helping us sort out a problem we came up against - they can't be thanked enough. Breakfast in the morning was pleasureable with options for all tastes - coffee was also fresh and a welcome surprise.

Holiday makers need to be aware that the rooms are on the smallish side which does mean plumbing noise can be heard in the adjacent room. I think this has to be expected and is a small price to pay for for the benefit of the location.

Thank you to Hotel Centrale.

This was our third trip to Italy and as always, we loved it down to our last tortellini! We really enjoy Bellagio located on Lake Como. It is truly a magical and romantic place to hang your newly purchased, sweeeet Italian jacket.! The best place to lay your memory filled head at the end of a day is Hotel Centrale. The hotel is owned and operated by the gracious Borelli family. In 2005 it was completely renovated. It is well located in the heart of the historical center of Bellagio. The hotel has 18 rooms which provide an elegant and comfortable ambiance. Our room had a lovely balcony which provided a peak of the Lake. The best part however, is Gian Giacomo (owner and host) and his two handsome sons, Marcello and Michele. Their goal is to make your stay perfect in every way. They are there to assist you with train schedules, restaurants, excursions, etc. They are so welcoming. They are so to speak, "the creme on the top of your cappuccino"! Also their breakfast offerings of pastries, prosciutto, fruit, cereal, cheese, breads and their cafe bar is over the top! We always looked forward in the morning to visiting the vernada room and indulging in all these goodies. This is our second four day stay at Hotel Centrale. We highly recommend that you put it on your list if you are planning to visit beautiful Bellagio. Gian, Marcello and Michele, If you read these

Stayed here as a base for walking and relaxing around the centre Como lake area. Hotel room was spacious and clean - we had requested an outside seating balcony (there are also normal standing-only small balconies) - great if you can get it for relaxing in the sun rather than in your room.
Breakfast was the usual continental stuff - bread, cheese, meats, yogurts, cereals etc - nothing amazing but more than enough to fill up on and start the day off well. They make proper coffees for you in the breakfast room too.
Free wi-fi was great, although needed to sit near the central reception area to get the best signal. Couldn't fault the service, or anything really - great hotel.

Room Tip: Request a room with outside seating balcony
