“The most beautiful view in Bellagio”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 August 2012

This B&B far exceeded our expectations of a low priced 2 star stay. The host and his mother were very accommodating. The room had spectactular views of Bellagio and all 3 lakes. Highly recommend! 20min walk to Bellagio town, bit of a slog on the way back, however the B&B offers a shuttle for 1 euro!

I can’t give you much more info than has been stated already. However, i can offer you the sound assurance that the view from the terrace of this hotel will knock you flat on your back. It has to be seen to be believed, you won’t be disappointed.

The hotel itself is a small family run place, 10 minutes up the hill from Bellagio. Guests are a mix of people from families, hill-walkers, cyclists to regular tourists; all are well catered for by the friendly and welcoming staff.

The decor is modest, you probably won’t be bowled over by this aspect but it was what we expected for the price/star rating. Don’t let this put you off however. We stayed for two nights in August and wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

The hotel are happy to arrange a shuttle to and from Bellagio for next to nothing, and are able to arrange taxis out of hours. They have a great little bar and serve dinner and drinks on the terrace. An unforgettable visit.

As the other reviewers have said, the view is the star of the show. That alone makes it worth staying at this hotel. Our rooms were simple but comfortable and clean. I appreciate the fact that I slept well there because of the decent bed, the ceiling fan, and the shutters that kept the early morning sun out of the room.

We ate at the hotel one evening because jet lag made us too lazy to venture elsewhere. It was simple and filling. As for breakfast - it was so-so. They ran out of food each day...

Even though we didn't have a car, it was easy to get around. The hotel shuttled us about for a small fee, and several nearby restaurants offered free taxi service.

Top floor, corner room = best panoramic view. The balcony wraps around slightly, so you can get an even better view of the lake. The view from just sitting in bed with the balcony doors open is amazing. The view in the morning, afternoon, evening, and at night is simply to die for. The hosts are great, and eating breakfast on the communal patio cannot be missed. The amenities at the hotel are decent, but perfectly fine given the price and view. One thing to point out is that the parking lot is not paved (just dirt, no gravel). The drive into the Bellagio area takes a bit of faith as there are some narrow sections of the road where you don't have much room to spare as you come across oncoming traffic. However, driving from the hotel into the city area is not too bad at all - slightly windy hill but otherwise much wider lanes.

For the price and the view, you can't go wrong

We just enjoyed two nights at this little gem on the hillside above Bellagio. I can only agree with everyone else's comments. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. We stayed in one of the rooms at the front below the terrace. Yes it does need some updating but it was huge with large windows right across the front allowing a view that is second to none. We had a large balcony where we could sit and marvel at the beauty of Lake Como and the mountains surrounding. We enjoyed drinks on the terrace when we arrived and dinner that night. A buffet is provided for 15 euros with home cooked food. It was a bargain and we really didn't want to leave the magic of that terrace to mix with the throngs in Bellagio. As the lights come on around the lake yet another magnificent panorama appears. It is truly breathtaking. The next night we dragged ourselves away to Salice Blu. They provide a taxi service and present exquisite food. Sadly we only had two nights in this special place and hope that one day we can return.

The views of Bellagio are breathtaking from the lake side rooms! The rooms are cozy, clean and spacious. Hotel host and restaurant personnel are so friendly and helpful. We were traveling with 6 other friends and we all loved this hotel and would stay there again!

We spent all together 7 days in Il Perlo Panorama. The rooms are not 5 stars but they are definitely cosy. Also depending on direction your room is facing, your whole stay can change. Obviously if you facing the parking lot thats not really what you are looking for but on the other side facing the lake, the mountains and beautiful nature overall - than you are talking amazing !!!
The owner Carlo and his beautiful mother are great hosts.
There are few really nice restaurants downtown but if you don't have a car you have to either walk which takes around 45min on a road which is quite dangerous so pay good attention as the street are very narrow. Or the hotel has a shuttle car but that does not give you time flexibility.
The Sporting Club in the city is a good place for dinner and drinks! They also have swimming pool, that closes around dinner time just to make sure half naked customers are not running around while you are having dinner ;)
To get to Bellagio from Malpensa airport takes around 2 hours by car. The last 50-60km to Bellagio slows down due to narrow winding road.
The weather in Bellagio in June was beautiful. Few short showers, fresh air, couple of days for some serious suntan and nice breeze from the mountains.
Restaurants recommendations: La Punta and Far Out...there are also some little places where you can indulge in Prosecco and delicious prosciutto and cheese !!!!
We were overall very impressed with this little town by the lake where George Clooney owns 2 villas...........

Room Tip: Make sure you double check on the room view when making booking........
