The drive to the hotel was lovely and the hotel and surroundings were beautiful. The view from the rooms were breathtaking. Our only problem was quickly remedied.

We had booked the largest room which is actually a separate cottage with and incredible vista. But it was musty and the downstairs was infested with tiny insects. Although they offered to clean and spray, we wouldn't stay in the cottage. They were able to give us a room on the top floor. It was clean with a new bathroom. It had a tiny balcony with a beautiful view.

It is a basic hotel, but the staff is very helpful and the breakfast was very nice. This hotel is definitely not for the 5 star traveler, but for those who like the road less traveled. We would stay there again, but not in the cottage!

We spent 3 nights at the end of our trip to Northern Italy at this hotel. We had a corner room on the 3rd floor (no elevator) and the view was just beautiful. We could lie in bed and gaze out at the mountains and lake with all the flowers blooming. The room is basic with a comfortable bed. We had a small balcony that wrapped around the side. Narrow bathroom with equally narrow bathtub and handheld shower. This hotel is about a 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk to Bellagio town. We had a car and there is free parking at the hotel. Because we were there a bit off season we did not have any trouble finding parking when we drove into town. The hotel runs a shuttle a few times a day at designated times which they will give you. They charge 1 or 2 euros for the shuttle. While we were there it did not run at night. They give you names of restaurants that will pick you up and return you after your meal.
The people who run it spoke English well and were pleasant. Although the women could be a bit dense at times. Breakfast is included and for some odd reason they charge u 1 euro if you have esperesson instead of the other beverage selections.
If you dont care about being in town this is a nice budget hotel worth trying.

What a beautiful place! Stunning lake views on 2 sides of the building. Warm, welcoming and helpful staff. Ample and filling breakfast. Room and bathroom were comfortably sized, very clean. We had a lake view from one balcony and garden view from another. TV in the room with British news stations. Pay internet station in the lobby. Snacks and drinks served on the lawn looking down the hill to the town of Bellagio, Lake Como, and Switzerland beyond. The only drawback to our one night's stay here was the temperature inversion which meant a heavy haze that did diminish the views, but not our pleasure at staying here. Hotel staff said this is a common condition in October. Also there's no elevator.

Perlo Panorama sits about a 5 minute ride from Bellagio with a view over Lake Como to die for. There is a wonderful, large patio terrace where you eat your breakfast and some rooms have their own small private terrace. This is a small family run hotel. Carlo and his mother are very nice, helpful and friendly, although as pointed out in other reviews, not always that flexible. The hotel and food itself is average but, overall, Panorama is a great value.

My wife and I fell in love with Bellagio on Lake Como many years ago. We have returned six times to experience the remarkable beauty, architecture and ambience of this wonderful place. The hotel we had always stayed at had become a bit to pricy for us. So my research led me to this wonderful hotel. I have four reasons why I would stay at Il Perlo again. First of all, the views of Lake Como from the hotel are absolutely breathtaking. Second, the family that owns the hotel are very lovely and do all they can to make you feel at home. Third, the rooms are quite large, well furnished and very clean. Fourth, the hotel was a great value for all you receive. Remember, the hotel is high above Bellagio, so I would suggest a car or taxi to go to the village.
