“Get room 402!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Reviewed 20 June 2014

Just back from a short break on Lake Como where we stayed at the Hotel Bellagio for three nights. On arrival the extremely friendly staff offered us an upgrade to room 402 as it was available for the three nights we were there. This room is on the top floor and has an uninterrupted view of the lake....the view is breath taking. Allied to this the windows are electrically operated and drop to mid point allowing a lovely breeze into the room. This room made the stay most memorable.

Otherwise the hotel was comfortable if not spectacular. The breakfast, which was included, was a disappointment but continental often is! The staff opened a bottle of wine for us that we bought locally and we sat and had that on a lovely veranda.

The cost for three days on a bed and breakfast basis was over e500 which is excessive but then again the view will live long in the memory.

The views from the lakeside of the hotel are stunning. We had the top floor, room 401 and had views to the front and side, looking down the lake, virtually 270 degrees. Each morning and evening was amazing looking onto the lake. The hotel was very well run, the staff were helpful and the breakfast was all you needed for the day ahead. Our only problem was with the shower, it could be updated. It was very small with clunky doors. Only a small issue, otherwise a very pleasant stay.

Room Tip: Be aware, that even with double glazing you still get noise from the waterfront.

Well-located in the heart of Bellagio near so many restaurants and perfectly suited for ferry travel. The ferry is steps from your hotel (steep steps, wear comfortable shoes). Very nice, English-speaking staff helped with recommendations to local restaurants and made reservations for us to rent a boat. Breakfast on the terrace was beautiful, and our room had a beautiful view to the lake. The hotel is a little tricky to find, and parking can be a stretch, but that's just a fact of life in that area. Rooms are small and not well-appointed, but certainly adequate. Bathroom was tiny, and the shower was smaller than most cruise ship showers, but not a bad trade for the price and expansive view from the room.

This hotel has a perfect location in Bellagio and thus is a great way to explore the Lake Como region. We had requested a room on the fourth floor when we booked the hotel as we wanted a view of the lake. We got room 402 and the view was spectacular. We had 2 windows that opened with a mechanical switch. It truly was breathtaking. The room was big and the bed very comfortable. We had no problems with noise until the last night we were there. I have no idea where the raging party was, but the house music was pumping until at least 3 am!!! It was also quite hot and the hotel staff informed us that while the rooms had air conditioning, it hadn't been turned on yet, (mid May). That was the only problem. The other 2 nights that we were there, we had no problems with temperature or noise. The breakfasts were pretty standard and the coffee was great. We drove to the Lake region and upon arrival, there was no room in their parking lot so the staff let us know where to park for free. It ended up saving us a fair amount of money. The staff was very helpful. If you are looking for a high end luxury property, this hotel is probably not for you. However if you want a great location and a room with a stunning view, you cannot beat the value here. We would definitely return here and would recommend it to friends.

Room Tip: choose a room on the 3rd or 4th floor with a lake view. You will not regret it.

Well run hotel with modern furnishings, and more importantly a great staff. They went out of their way to provide advice and assistance - all of it spot on. Danny was on the front desk during the day and Diego in the evenings - their English was excellent and they were always ready to help in any way. The breakfast was hearty and delicious, and if you just thought about having a cappuccino someone would be making it. Brought a bottle of wine back to the hotel and Diego offered to get us glasses - even making sure to give us the right type of glass to match our wine! Loved this place!

Hotel Bellagio is a beautiful boutique bed and breakfast. Situated just off the main water front in Bellagio it is perfect for exploring both the town and other parts of the lake.
Bellagio is not the easiest place to get to from the airport but once you are there it is breath taking. Our rooms (one of which had three windows had the most stunning views above the roof tops and across the lake.
The hotel is immaculate and the rooms are simply yet stylishly furnished.
Breakfast can be taken either in their dining room or on their terrace and whilst the hotel offers only continental breakfast, the quality of what's on offer is lovely.
This hotel doesn't have a lounge area, which is a pity. It would have been very pleasant to bring back a bottle of prosecco and drink it in the evening, on the terrace where breakfast was served.
The hotel boasts access to a swimming pool. There was no shuttle bus to the club and it is a good 20-25min walk uphill and in the Summer heat, it felt longer but you can also swim in the lake at the lido and this is only 10 mins from the hotel.
The hotel is just minutes walk from many shops, restaurants and cafés so if you want somewhere in the middle of the town, this small gem in Bellagio is simply lovely.
