We arrived after a long day of traveling, after hulling our heavy luggage up the numerous steep stairs to get to the entrance, we were greeted very warmly in English and shown up to our room on the 3rd floor. We walked in to find a spectacular view of the beautiful lake and surrounding mountains. The room was very clean and spacious and included small balconies to take the scenery in. We found numerous shops, restaurants and cafes to choose from right by the hotel. Even though the hotel was central to everything, it was still extremely peaceful and the noise did not carry up to the rooms, except for the occasional peaceful live café music that floated through our window during the dinner hours. The breakfast buffet was nice (nothing too fancy) and everything was clean and updated.
We also took advantage of the hiking trails nearby. However, beware that you might get a little lost through all the old cart trails- trying to find the main trailhead. Its a good idea to purchase a map at the information center near the hotel. Though, you are sure to find your way back if you use landmarks. Overall, we had an amazing experience and were very happy with your decision to stay at the Hotel Bellagio.More
