I was walking in the historic center of Como, searching for a restaurant with a view on the lake, when I bumped into this restaurant. Even though the place has no view on the lake (which is just few steps ahead) the scenario is simply delightful: the restaurant is located in an ancient building with a pictoresque courtyard, which naturally attracted me to walk in. Care is taken of every detail, and the place is new and clean. The cuisine is sophisticated, and the service is excellent (just a bit slow, perhaps: but the whole atmosphere is deliberately meant to be relaxed): I was served by a young lady (don't know the name, but the father is from Sicily) who was extremely passionate in explaining the history behind the dishes and their ingredients: unexpectedly, this lunch became much more than eating, a real 'experience'. Perfect for amateurs.
