Our night here was certainly one of the highlights of our trip. Just cross the road and go down a little path and you are on the beach looking across the St Laurence. Get lucky and there’ll be a sunset that you’ll remember for a very long time.
We had the river facing room and though perhaps a little smaller than we would have liked it had everything we needed.
The real USP is that you have the run of a kitchen and can prepare your own dinner. So, pop into the IGA in Riviere Du Loup on your way in (it’s on the right side of town) and pick up some Smoked Brisket from the Deli Counter, some aged Canadian Cheddar, salad, bread and fruit. Then go next door to SAQ for a good bottle of Quebec Red and if you’re as lucky as we were with a nice sunny evening you can sit on the first floor balcony and enjoy your meal. Be prepared for the odd insect though.
Lovely welcome from Madame et Monsieur and a fresh cooked breakfast rounded things off perfectly.
