This is one of the most relaxing hotels I have ever stayed in. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous, far enough away from the middle of Sirmione that you feel removed, but close enough to walk in to see the sights and go for meals or drinks.
The beautiful gardens are really well maintained, and the building itself is well kept and in keeping with its heritage.
Staff are helpful and courteous without being completely in your face all the time. Happy to chat and tell you about the hotel or area if you're in the mood, but blend in to the background if you're having a peaceful moment.
Breakfast is lovely too, plenty of choice without being over-faced with options.
Pool is delightfully quiet, a little sanctuary area.
Evenings on the terrace with the pianist playing in the background (he is superb) are just so relaxing I could have stayed there sipping cocktails forever.
This is not a hotel full of entertainers, so if you're looking for water slides and bingo it's not the right place. However if you wanted relax and be treated fabulously then look no further!More
