“Lovely visit to Sirmione”
Reviewed 15 September 2013

My partner booked the Flaminia Hotel because he had stayed there some years ago and remembered that he had liked the place. We were only there for a weekend at the end of April so we chose a room in the annex of the hotel that did not have a lake view because we did not expect to spend much time there (apart from at night). The room we were shown into was on the third floor with a large double bed, a whole wall of clothes cupboard, the window faced out toward the small lane outside and the sun shone in during the morning. The bathroom was large, very modern and tiled from floor to roof, very nice! We were very comfortable while we were in the room, slept well and enjoyed the bath with ever facility. Breakfast in the mornings was a buffet in the main hotel building next door with a wide choice of breads, croissants and pastries, cheeses and cold cuts as well as yoghurts and cereals, everything you would need. As we had thought, we did not spend that much time in the hotel as we were out around Sirmione during the days and evenings. The Flaminia Hotel was fine, the staff friendly and helpful, we found no faults. We would certainly stay there again, perhaps next time even take a room with a lake view!

Everything you need, a very small road through ancient alleys filled with tourists, (Smart cars a must) they then will park your car for you off the peninsular. There's a pontoon to swim off, really helpful staff, sensible breakfast, a room to iron your trousers in! (Much to the consternation of said staff who may not have seen an English man ironing.) Decor is 60s, almost fashionable again, charming, simple and we enjoyed it. Sirmione is in a similar backwater, some shops selling Chanel some selling copies. Lots of ice-cream parlours and lots of things you might buy and never use or keep out for a while on a mantelpiece until the next spring clean when it will end up in a box. We would come here again and to repeat all the staff were welcoming, helpful and efficient. Suitable for families by the way.

Room Tip: Front of building has verandas over the lake

Second year running at this hotel. Was lucky this year and got a lake view room which was lovely. Great location on the lake with two sun terraces few mins from tons of restaurants. Nice hotel, service is good especially around the pool by the guys out there. Rooms were clean and nice my only criticism was the air con was not up to the job. Literally had to get up and shower in the night and sleep with wet towels so not pleasant however it was 38 degrees so maybe that was just too hot for it. Other than that lovely hotel. Breakfast is nice too.

Room Tip: Ask for lake view

Nice hotel situated by the lake. The rooms are OK but you have to look out for the staff.
Our waiter stole a pair of Gucci sunglasses worth 350 euro
that was lying on our table . When we ask him to get the sunglasses back
he denies there were any sunglasses on the table.
We will not stay on this hotel again .

Stayed for 2 nights in a nice room in the annexe, across the street from the main hotel. Room was clean and comfortable. Not lake view, although we could see the lake by opening the windows and leaning round! It's in a great setting in the old part of the town, about a 5 minute walk from the bus stop and about 2 minutes from the ferries to other resorts. We ate in the Margherita Restaurant which is attached to the hotel which was very nice. There are loads of places to eat in the area so you are spoiled for choice. Breakfast was nice although the service wasn't that great and I had to ask for more coffee rather than being offered more. The beautiful location probably puts the price up, and overall this is a very nice hotel.

Perfeft hotel, very nice location in the old city, surrounded by dozens of cafe, pizzeria and etc. Rooms are clean, nice and well decorated. Lovely lake-views. Staff is very friendly and sociable. Reasonable price for a high quality. Hotel is suitable either for couples and for families with kids. We enjoyed staying here and looking forward for coming back soon.

Hotel Flaminia is at an excellent location in Sirmione. The hotel is in nice condition, beautiful bathroom. It is an ideal place to discover old town. I did not know but you can actually drive up to the hotel to drop your bag and they show you to their reserved parking.
