A very nice way to spend your day, walking throughout this historic ruin. It has a relaxing atmosphere with some ver panoramic views. A thoroughly enjoyable day!

“Nice views and interesting but not on hot days”
Reviewed 26 July 2014

Nice views over lake Garda but this day it was hot and its no good day for visiting. The tours was in Italian which is limited but if you can get a good guided tour in a language that you understand I am sure this would be a much more giving experience.

“Amazing spot to enjoy ancient history, very friendly staff”
Reviewed 26 July 2014

We visited the Grotte in a wheelchair and therefor were allowed to drive through the town of Sirmione all the way to the villa. We were greated very friendly and were shown a private parking next to the place. The staffmember showed us arround and told us how to visit in a wheelchair. He was very friendly. Later on he even helped us out when the wheelchair broke down. He got out his tools and helped us fix it. Very nice! Then the place itsself is amazingly beautiful, truely awesome. The views, the ruins, the museum, everything so well kept and just stunning to see and imagine how it once must have been. For gifts please visit the little bar next to the museum, they have several nice booklets and postcards for sale and also excellent olive oil made from the trees at the villa! P.s. as in many Italian places the person in the wheelchair and the one accompanying them has free entrance.

“Seen better”
Reviewed 24 July 2014

The Grotte di Catullo is one of the main attractions in Sirmione but to be honest, I have visited much better Ronam Villas in others countries. Very little in the way of mosaics although the museum is informative.
View of the lake is good and entry cost is reasonable but you would be better off going into Verona which has much more to see.
