The family Visani expertly run and manage The Hotel. You will not be disappointed when you choose this hotel. Nothing is too much trouble for the family to make your holiday a success. I shall return! The position of the hotel is excellent-turn right out of the hotel and the hustle and bustle of the restaurants, cafes, bars and embarkation point for the ferries to anywhere in Lake Garda. Turn left and and within a few hundred metres you are in the Parc di Maria Callas which adjoins the Grotto di Catullo, with its calm and peaceful olive groves also with many seats and extensive views of Lake Garda and Monte Baldo.

Room Tip: Choose a room facing the lake

I have been reccomended this place by a friend of mine and I have not been dissapointed. The hotel is run by a family, You will meet the mother, son and daughter, all very keen to do the best for You in all possible ways. The rooms are simple, clean and those with the view have a very nice one. Breakfast is OK with a loads of different sweets baked inhouse. I tried their dinner and though it was not bad, I would reccomend some of the less fancier restaurants around in the town. Sirmione is a very tourist oriented place which is invaded during the day by the hords of travelers and Hotel Marconi a good choice for the couple of nights You eventually want to stay there.

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Marconi for three days earlier this month. It was a great experience. Getting to the hotel was a little tricky since we had a car and had to drive on narrow streets full of other tourists, but it was well worth it. Staff was very helpful and friendly, and the breakfast was impressive. Everything was fresh with lots of variety, and the pastry spread is to die for. The breakfast nook looks out over Lake Garda...delicious food with a great view. No wonder I used to look forward to breakfast every morning! Rooms in Hotel Marconi are a little small, but they're very well kept. The place is really very lovely. I have nothing negative to say about this hotel. It was difficult to leave, and this actually turned out to be my favorite accommodation on our six-city Italian trip!

The only double room that was left in the hotel when we booked for Saturday night in mid-March was in the annexe. While the room was perfectly adequate, we could see that we would have done better by booking earlier and taking one of the rooms in the main hotel. The position of the hotel itself is outstanding. There is a large, comfortable terrace with chairs, tables and sun-loungers at the edge of the lake. We spent some time reading there in the warm sunshine. The restaurant, which serves an excellent breakfast is immediately behind the terrace and also overlooks the lake as do many of the bedrooms (though, sadly, not ours). The young man at reception and the lady serving at breakfast were particularly friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Take one in the main hotel if you can

Me and my boyfriend had a lovely 3 night stay at the hotel. Carlo and family are friendly, welcoming, happy to recommend restaurants and help work out bus timetables. The hotel was immaculately clean and rooms are tastefully decorated. The breakfast was beyond expectation with too many different cakes to try over three mornings. You must watch the beautiful sunset from the garden that has amazing views across the lake. In early March we were slightly out of season but had a lovely stay and would highly recommend.

Best things about this hotel: location, views and pastry. Other reviewers suggested that the restaurant was very good there, but during our stay they only served breakfasts (early March). And while breakfasts were okay, pastry was simply irresistible! Our room (No.5) offered a great lake view and a nice balcony to enjoy sunsets. Room size was quite acceptable for 2 moderately-sized and non-claustrophobic people. Good quality German faucets and shower head, good and stable water pressure, non-leaking shower door. Nice job was done with heated floors - not only in the bathroom, but also in some areas near the bed where your feet land in the morning.
Now, on to not-so-good things. The TV was tiny, but this was not really a problem since there's nothing to watch anyway - only Italian channels (and alas, we don't understand it). The bathroom fan was noisy - but luckily, there was a separate switch to turn it off while keeping the light on. The pillows were quite disappointing - limp and thin.
In one phrase: If you're after luxury, look elsewhere - but if you want it nice and homy, and are not too fussy - go for Marconi! :)

Room Tip: Choose lakeview rooms - e.g. #5.

We stayed at Hotel Marconi in the beginning of March (off season) for three nights and were very happy with our choice. The location of the hotel was excellent as well as the breakfast, tidiness, atmosphere, etc. But what we most appreciated was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff! Carlo at the reception and Anna during breakfasts served us always with a smiley face and made us feel like home. We traveled with our 10 months old baby and this was a perfect holiday for all of us! We can sincerely recommend this hotel! Thank you to all Hotel Marconi's staff!
