Just spent four days at Locanda Nelia and have only great comments to give. Let's start with Barbara, the owner, who immediately made us feel very welcome and was extremely helpful and friendly throughout our stay. Our romm (Terra) was brilliant: nice decoration, very clean, comfy bed, lots of space and storing and great views on the Piazza. The breakfast, although simple, was absolutely fine. The B&B is located in a Baveno which is a great position to explore the lake and the surroundings. Finally I would also very warmly recomment La Posta (owned by the same family), the restaurant located underneath the B&B which provided excellent food at very reasonnable prices and again with a fantastic welcome.

Tastefully decorated B&B, impeccably clean in a great location. Barbara was very friendly and helpful and gave us good recommendations. The restaurant downstairs (La posta) had gorgeous food and very attentive service.
We spent 4 nights there and felt like family by the time we left.
Thank you to Barbara, her family and the staff at Locanda Nelia and Ristorante La Posta!

We arrive after reading the reviews in Tripadvisor we decided to rent an apartment in this Locanda and we got even better place than what was promised.Barbara the owner speaks perfect English and gave us wonderful reccomendations of touring ideas, the room has side view of the lake and the building has small room for free coffee cold drinks and muffins. The rooms are designed by 4 elements feng shui ideas ( ours was earth) very spacious and comfortable. They have a restaurant just beneath ( la Posta). Great excellent food. Gellati 39 flavours just in front. Also crossing the street you can catch the ferry to cross Lago Maggiore to the other side which results to be the easiest way to travel around.
Also Barbara was a great help- after checking out I discoverd that my purse was lost and she found it and sent it special delivery to our next bed and breakfeast.
Please do not hesitate: if you want the perfect place for your holiday in Italy just stay here and be happy ...

My family stayed here for a few days and we all thought this B&B was a fantastic base for us. The rooms have great en suite facilities, all the fixtures are new and everything was very clean. It's hard to find anything negative about this hotel as the owners have really put a lot of thought into the service they provide. For example, each room had beach towels in a beach bag for the guests to take if they wanted to go for a swim! I've stayed in 5 star hotels that wouldn't provide this type of service.

My wife, my wife and me stood as guests in the hotel for 4 nighte on July 2012 and we have one word "fantastic".
The location - near the lake and the boats to the Islands, with free parking near.
The room - Big and clean.
The breakfist - Small dining hall with very good breakfist. (the room with some cooking instruments
like a plate and microwave to cook your own).
The restaurant - Tasty with fair prices.
And above all Barbara, who helped us a lot, and gave us the feeling of home.
