What a beautiful view from the stunning Grand Hotel Dino. We stayed here for 3 nights and loved the hotel and surrounding area. Our room was spacious with a large bathroom with bath and separate large shower unfortunately it did not have a balcony but as there was many areas to sit and chill around the hotel we did not find this a problem. Breakfast was good with a wide choice of continental and omelettes made to order and delicious freshly squeezed orange juice. The hotel was conveniently located to catch the ferries across the Lake to The Borromee Islands, all of which are well worth a visit. A short walk from the hotel was a Lido area with bars and loungers to relax and chill on the shores of the lake.

My first time to this area of Italy, and wow, everything is like a postcard scenery. The hotel itself was good, few minor gripes with breakfast but on the whole a very good standard.

Staff were friendly, facilities good and the hotel is well located to explore the mini islands.

This hotel is set in the most breath taking location we have ever visited. There are little islands located in the lake and these can be visited by a boat that docks just outside the hotel grounds, a must for the bucket list!

The hotel itself is extremely well presented, clean and beautifully decorated. The staff are friendly and the conference we attended ran like clockwork.

The little town of Stresa is only 10 minutes away and you can get to it by either taxi or boat. It really is well worth a visit.

There are however a couple of things that have stopped me from giving 5 stars....

The room we stayed in was again beautifully decorated but absolutely tiny. Myself and my partner had to keep moving out of the way of each other to move around, which after a few days was really quite annoying, as was having to lean at a funny angle to walk around the bed.

There were no tea and coffee making facilities, there was no iron and you had to have the hotel iron clothes for you, the toiletries were missing conditioner and moisturiser and when you're trying to cut case weight down these little things are important.

That being said I will miss having breakfast in the sunshine on the terrace by the lake.

Well is it me, thought I having been reading reviews of a different hotel.
Fantastic location and after reading reviews contacted the hotel and asked for a forth floor room over looking the lake.
What a view and even had a small balcony with a table and two chairs.
Food all good and staff really nice and friendly had a bit of a laugh about a few things including get hot/boiling water for tea
as often just hot with a tea bag.
Stayed for a large conference and everyone I spoke to was more than happy with their stay.

Attended a conference here and the hotel looked very impressive. Las Vegas style lobby with lots of marble.
Unfortuately my expectation of a beautiful room overlooking the lake was sadly dashed, with a tiny room with no view. Managed to change to the only other available room overlooking the car park! It was like going on a cruise, expecting a balcony cabin, but given an inside cabin!
Staff were somewhat surly and gave the impression we were an inconvenience.
The conference ran like clockwork and the food excellent.
Tea and coffee making facilities in the room would have been nice. However, I did not want to stay in it too long with such a depressing view.
The views of the lake from the public areas were stunning.
Would I return, most likely no. Shame it could have so good :-(
