“A warm welcome and good nights' sleep”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 June 2014

Massimo was a very face at the end of a long journey for us and his welcome made us feel at home right away. The rooms were clean and spacious, the beds were comfy and we even got a cotbed for our son. Although the bathrooms are shared, it is only with one other room so it's not like you have to queue or anything.
The breakfasts were lovely and there was plenty of choice. We also got some great tips of good places to eat dinner in Stresa. Massimo knows the area and what you should see!
We are looking forward to going back next year and staying a little longer.

This beautiful B&B is a welcome respite from the heavily touristy but beautifully located Stresa.
It is set up the hill from town in a very quiet area. The house is beautiful, the rooms clean, accommodating, and restful. The common room downstairs is relaxing as is the one upstairs. Parking is very easy. Though you can walk down the hill to the sights, it IS a distance unless you are younger than we are and returning with either a car or by taxi is a must for everyone....but then it is the location that provides the relaxation and rest. Massimo is just a wonderful host. His English is excellent if you need it and his breakfasts speak for themselves. Splendid! Massimo is easily accessible, but allows you your own privacy and quiet time. We loved this B&B and are very confident to recommend it. We stayed three nights before our flight home from .Malpensa. It was a convenient drive there. We understood that a bus was also available to the airport which is an hour or less away. We enjoyed Stressa despite the large number of tourists (it IS a resort area) and the experience. It was almost unreal to walk along the lake and to see the snow-capped mountains of Switzerland on the other side. Beautiful!

Here you can find a really friendly atmosphere!
We had a good glass of wine on the balcony at the sunset and it was great!
Rooms and bathrooms are clean and cozy and all is really peaceful.
We really enjoyed breakfast with fresh "croissants" on the terrace.
We loved it and hope to have the chance to be back again.

Our stays are always short (1 night). This B&B is our yearly stop on the way to Tuscany, Puglia, ...

Nice B&B, close to Stresa and only a few km's from the highway.
Clean rooms and bathroom
Very friendly hosts.
Good breakfast, served on the terrace with a great view on the "Lago Maggiore"
Important for us is that our dog is also welcome.

beautifull house and great view. Very friendly guesthouse and the room and bathroom were well fournished and clean. Massimo is very good at making you feel welcome and is very helpfull. I hope I get the change to go there again. Also peacefull because it is a few kilometers up the mountain. Walking down to the centre of Stresa takes about 15 minutes and the taxi will take you back for 12,00 - 15,00 euro

We spent a week here recently and enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed it being served out in the sunshine on the balcony. We had booked a room with a balcony overlooking the lake but the garden had grown too tall to see the lake. The only down-side is that the ensuite is not attached to the bedroom, but is across the hallway. As there wasn't anyone in the other downstairs room it didn't cause us any problem. Great walk down the hill into Stressa and good exercise getting back up the hill!

Room Tip: If staying again I would request the room on the breakfast room level that has a balcony overlooking...

Salvatore, buongiorno
massimo
