My granddaughter and I stayed four nights in mid-June in this lovely hotel with delicious food and a friendly, efficient and helpful staff on duty at all times. Carla, the manager, was amazing. She's always there, overseeing the quality of cleaning, cooking and communicating with everyone in her wide variety of languages. The hotel location is perfect . . . minutes walk from town square and the water ferries or the train station, and close to the malecon for beautiful lakeshore walks. Plus, the price is definitely right!

We stayed here for four nights through a Road Scholar hiking/walking adventure trip to the Northern Italian Lakes region. This hotel is just charming with Carla, the owner on hand at all times. Our stay felt like we were in a B&B, as Carla explained about leaving the hotel at night and times for breakfast etc. Our room was fine with everything we needed. We arrived before our group and Carla gave us room #1 'with a balcony'. The balcony overlooked the canvas covered outdoor eating area and back parking areas of surrounding buildings. Breakfasts were included with a variety of home baked treats, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, and boiled eggs. Supper we usually had a choice of local specialties. We enjoyed the variety of foods, though wine had to be purchased as an extra on this package. The staff was friendly and quick to help in any way. After one request for ice, a bowl full of ice was provided each evening when we went up to our room. This hotel is located right in the center of the lovely town of Stresa. It's a great location with a very homey feel.

Stresa is one of the most beautiful cities that I have ever visited and it was made all the more pleasant by my stay at this hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are affordable and we also got a great view of the town from our room. The location of the hotel is also prime.

My wife and myself stayed at the hotel for two nights. Location of the hotel is excellent, a two minutes walk from the ferries. pier Room very clean. (We stayed at the at a triple room since it was the only one that was free for two nights when we booked it). No AC in the room. We had two windows and one balcony. Room simple (2 stars after all) and both room and bathroom are very clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast is adequate and satisfactory. Just take into considertaiont The parking at the back of the hotel is public (Piazza Cappuci - was not able to find in my GPS) and part of it is white lines (free) and part of it are blue lines (need to pay from 8:00 - 20:00) and in both it fills up.

Room Tip: If you willing to pay extra (if needed) room address to Via Annamaria Bolongarois better. Not all rooms have AC.

My husband and I stayed here with two good friends for eight days in August 2013. We found it to be a beautiful building, with spotless, well furnished rooms. The welcome we received was second to none, and the quality and quantity of food provided for evening meals was excellent. All the staff were very friendly, especially our host, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. We were made to feel that nothing was too much trouble, and we felt that the hotel had a really lovely family atmosphere. If we ever revisit Stresa we will certainly stay here again!
