Just a short walk from Piazza Sordello, my wife and I happened upon Pani di Pizza and wondered in. The owners, a young couple, greeted us warmly and invited us to peruse their beautiful creations. Sold by the pound, most of the pizzas offered have a soft bread crust on top and a cheese, vegetable and/or meet filling. Once chosen, they heat the pizza in their oven and are wonderful.
Various creations containing: asparagus, radicchio, ham, cheese and in numerous combination filled the case, as well as desserts.
With only a couple of stools for indoor eating, which we used for our first visit, for our second and third visit we got our food and beer to-go and walked a couple of minutes to the edge of Lago Inferiori for an exquisite picnic.
I was very fond of the sunflower (Girasole), radicchio and ham & cheese. Their brioche dessert is very special and not too sweet, so buy a bit extra!
Congrats to the creators!
