“A very convenient and comfortable accomodation in the centre of Milan”
Reviewed 27 December 2012

Camperio House Suites & Apartments is located in the centre of Milan, close to Piazza Cairoli and not far from Piazza Duomo, that you can reach on foot or by metro. Suites are very well refurbished and equipped. I recommend this accomodation for those travelers who wish a very comfortable room and like to be independent, or say do not need all services of a hotel. The price is reasonable and you will hardly find a accomodation of this level in the very centre for a lower budget.

This hotel is very well located, closed to the Castle, Duomo and Brera district.
The courtesy of the staff could be improved in some ways but the overall impression is good!
Breakfast is not excellent but as in most places in Italy (which is very sad because the food and cuisine is excellent!)...

My wife and I stayed for three nights (18th to 20th Oct.) and also suffered at nightime during to no air conditioning to cool our room in what we were told was unusually warm weather, they(whomever they were) had decidered to turn off the cool air and to supply warm air. Well done to the bozo that made that decision. It was made all the more frustrating because we couldn't open the window to get the cooler night air because of no window screens to keep the mozzies out.
The location, staff and breakfast were very good although the house keeping need to realize that with fixed wall lighting shining upwards, dust on the walls is easily seen.
A slightly curious thing - the room had tea and coffee making facilities (good) with a large cup and small cup. When we asked for another large cup - no, no, can't do. Perhaps only in Italy.
It's a pity about the ac because I'd stay there again because of the positives it offers.
Note for the Tripadvisor people - your rating selection criteria should have a "good" selection option, not the present selection ratings which jump from "average" with the next one being "very good".

Room Tip: Get a room at the rear - noisy front street at peak times.

We had a smallish room with a window that looked out onto the street. The room was comfortable and reasonably decorated but, with the exception of the stairs in the entrance, there were no interesting old features which was what i was expecting. Nice big bathroom, wifi, pod coffee machine, cable TV. It's a good location and walking distance to the Cardorma railway station which connects to the airport. The staff are helpful. Breakfast has a reasonable selection of fruit, cereal, pastries, bread, cheese and meat. It was fine, albeit a bit bland, but nothing more. We had only booked a basic room so didn't have the couches, dining table, kitchenette that features in most of the photos that advertise this hotel.

We arrived very early in the morning and finally got to the hotel. It isn't easy to find but it is within easy walking distance of the train station. We had to wait to get into our rooms but the staff was helpful and gave us coffee and pastries and we were able to wait in their breakfast area. I would stay here again. Our son was with us and he had his own area with a comfortable single bed.

I found this hotel to be comfortable, luxurious and welcoming all at the same time which is never an easy thing to pull off. The location is amazingly convenient-5 minute walk to Duomo or castle in either direction. Luca at check-in was the most in-depth and honest hotel staff I've ever met about what to do and not to do whilst in Milan. The room was a bit on the small side, but it was extraordinarily quiet and the bathroom was elegant. Breakfast was efficient, smartly Italian and full of options. I would stay again in an instant.

Two couples were recently in Milan for one night before flying back to the US following a 2 week vacation in France and Italy. We arrived on the train and took an inexpensive cab ride to the hotel. We arrived early but Stephano directed us to a place for lunch and kept our bags. When we returned he had upgraded us to nicer rooms and got us situated. The hotel is lovely and the rooms are very nice. The bathrooms are spacious as well. The location is very central. Stephano made dinner suggestions and booked us a car to Malpensa airport for early the next morning.

We had a half day tour with a local company that happened to be right up the street from the hotel. The rooms were stuffy so we turned on the AC so that the room would cool down when we returned from our tour. In fact, Stephano even went with our friend to his room as the AC didn't seem to be working and reset the tripped fuse. After our tour and dinner we returned to the hotel to find that our rooms had not cooled off at all. We were told by the young woman at the desk that the AC had been turned off on Oct. 18 in the entire building and that there was nothing they could do about it. We ended up opening windows and the room cooled off around 2am. When we got up at 5:30am for our flight we were covered in mosquito bites. I chose this hotel based on the reviews from Trip Advisor and because their own website claimed that each room has AC and individual controls. Additionally the website says the rooms have wifi and we were never able to access the wifi.

This hotel is lovely. I can not give it a 5 star rating because of the AC issue. It should be noted that the AC is only available from May to October.
