“Really liked the hotel”
Reviewed 14 November 2013

Excellent little hotel. Was surprised by how big the room was and how comfortable. Would have expected less. Very glad I chose this hotel. The staff were nice and helpful, especially at breakfast and the guys on the front desk. Excellent bathroom with everything you could need and everything was very clean. I didn't find it noisy at all, perhaps because we weren't facing the main road.
Thought the breakfast was better than expected. Also I love the daily news that is provided in your language. I have only ever seen this before in a 5 star resort. Great location and nice walk to the Duomo. Unless you want a spa hotel or something out of this world then there is no point staying anywhere else.
Ottima struttura, personale disponibilissimo e cordiale, ottima anche la posizione e non troppo caro.
ci sono stato per 4 giorni e mi sono trovata benissimo, spero di ritornarci al più presto.

We arrived at this little hotel early in the morning after a very long flight from NZ, we were given a warm welcome by the friendly helpful staff. We were given a comfortable quiet room on the side of the hotel away from the main street, the room was clean & had everything we required. Breakfasts were generous with a good selection to chose from. The hotel is within easy walking distance from Down-town & there is a little cafe & a convenience store close at hand.
We would definitely stay there again

Room Tip: Side rooms are probably quieter

I cannot add much to what previous reviews have said

The location is very good

I found the room clean and comfortable but like others , too warm and noisy

Breakfast was excellent and Staff were very friendly

Most hotels at this level seem to be a similar price so I think this was fair value and I'd stay here again despite the small issues

Dear Guest,
thank you very much for your review.
We are agree with you about the temperature. When the weather change we need to turn on the heating but often the temperature outside goes up and we can't change with air conditioning.
In the summer we have air conditioning e during the winter we have heating.
We apologize for the inefficiency.
We have this problem in October and in March, when often the outside temperatures are changing every day from 15 ° to 22 °
Best regard

This hotel is well situated very close the Duomo, on a noisy street in central Milan. The rooms were very hot, we were advised that the air conditioning had been switched off for the winter. As October has been unseasonably warm, this made the whole experience rather stuffy and unpleasant. The hotel is reasonably modern (an old hotel that has been recently renovated) clean and the breakfast was good. The staff friendly and efficient. The rooms were a little on the small side, but up to date, good modern bathroom with great shower and the beds comfortable. Overall it is rates as a 3* which I think is fair, if not a little on the pricey side. The room we had was on the first floor facing the busy road and car park, so we couldn't even open the windows.

Room Tip: Pick a room on a higher floor if you get a choice. The road is very noisy.

We stayed for three nights, and we booked the hotel by internet and the price was 486 euro, plus the taxes 527 euro, and than when we were leaving the hotel they asked us to pay another 24 euro taxes , so it is 551 euro for three nights;183,66 per night it’s just to expensive in 3star hotel with a very poor breakfast , disgusting coffee , undrinkable espresso. The only good thing about this hotel is that the room was clean, but too small, and the location was not so bud.

I stayed at Hotel Canada last month for about 8 nights, had a very pleasant stay overall.

The hotel doesn't have an impressive entrance/appearance from outside, it rather looks like dated motel, however, all rooms are well renovated, clean and well managed.
The greatest thing about this hotel is the staffs, especially at the reception. They are always smiley and helpful, try their hardest to accommodate you in best way. Location is also good, walking distance to Duomo and central area.

2 things bothered me a bit. One is it's next to the main road, could be bit noisy with car noises. Personally I'm quite sensitive to noises so I had to wear earplugs every night. For normal people, it might be still OK.
Other thing is the hotel doesn't have a restaurant for dinner. (no room service)
Obviously Milan has so many nice restaurant you can find, however, when you're on a work trip and sometime just want to stay in with room service, that's what's missing in this hotel.
(But Hotel canada staffs can help you to order a delivery pizza or pasta)

Overall, nice stay for the value, I'll definitely go back.

We stayed in July for three days, two nights. We thought the hotel was very clean hotel with modern conveniences.

The hotel is close to the Duomo and Galleria (about a 5-10 minute walk); 25 minute walk to Santa Maria delle Grazie to see the Last Supper; and a metro station nearby to the Milano Centrale train station. There is also a grocery store right around the corner if you want to purchase snacks and water for the room. Most importantly, there is a pharmacy located nearby for when you need a few tubes of anti-itch cream if you get attacked by mosquitos, like I did :\

The sleep accommodations were not comfortable... Our "double" bed consisted of two twin beds pushed up together, so we didn't sleep very well especially if one of us landed in the crack.

The breakfast was delicious; it offered a wonderful variety than your standard continental breakfast. Service during breakfast was exceptional as well.
