Milan is our last stop before we go home after 2 weeks in Italy. Actually, I don't want to go to Milan but my wife confirmed that 'we must go' because of the word 'Fashion city'.. I searched TripAdvisor for quite 'peaceful, out of town but transportation' B&B, then i found Isola. We can take metro just only a few stop from Milano Centrale station to Garibaldi where Isola located. The apartment was amazing, we have kitchen to cook our Thai foods after 2 weeks Italian pizza and bread. ^_^ You should stay here if you're the one who loves peace.. haha

Just got back from Milan after a weekend trip. Our flight was delayed but Michele was really helpful and he was there to give us the keys (we were 2 hours late!) The apartment itself was comfortable, wireless internet worked well. The TV channels were also broad, including sky TV which normal hotels would only offer BBC News. The only small complaint I would have is the double bed. We stayed in Apartment A and the double bed was in fact two single beds put together, we also spent a lot of time trying to make the curtains cover the windows...

We didn't cook during our stay as there are a lot of restaurants and bars around the area. I recommend staying in Isola Apartments. It's only a few stops away from Duomo. Although the Metro station looks a bit dodgy, the area itself is actually very friendly. I would definitely return to Isola if I visit Milan again.

this place is very nice a lot of attention to detail you can see a great taste behind minimalist chic like california or ... milan. recently renovated very clean and technological, huge balcony where you can relax. kitchen/living below and upstairs the bedroom. It's a townhome with high ceiling in the kitchen living area. The location is great everything is happening in isola now, close to bosco verticale and corso como, and to garibaldi station. Michele is friendly and takes the time to explain you everything. The only cons were the price - for a single person was too much maybe it was a fiera price , the fact that you can cancel up to one week before the arrival - that was a little scary to me, and the fact that you cannot darken the room - there are only light curtains to cover the many windows (but if you don't mind or if you have to wake up early or it's winter it's ok).
In any case, Congratulations!

Isola runs a great service. These apartments are a gentle walk from the train station (tip... Use the via pepe exit at station garibaldi. To find via pepe exit go to platform 20).

We were the for our honeymoon, and when they heard they upgraded us to the deluxe room. All for euro 80!

The room had a charming loft, with a spiral staircase leading to the upper level which had the bedroom and balcony.

The rooms had pleasant interirors and even small things like the shampoo and shower gel were nice.. Not the usuall crummy stuff you find in cheaper hotels.

A small kitchen and the lovely balcony plus roof skylights made the stay better.

A small walk away from the train station took you to lots of restaurants, eateries and even an open market which was a great place to buy fresh produce.

We really enjoyed a local restaurant called La Fontanne near a church by the same name... Cheap and Yummy doodle!

Only small complaint was that the wireless internet in our room didn't work very well and one needed to stand near the door to catch the signal.

Only small complaint was that

We chose Isola Apartments because we were visiting family who live nearby, and we were glad we did. It is clean, comfortable and well equipped - and very quiet. Just behind Garibaldi Station, it is very easy to get to, and also gives easy access to the tourist sites. It is in a residential area, and we found it pleasant to get away from the bustle of being tourists to a relaxed place where people actually live! I don't understand a previous posting about not feeling safe - the streets are quiet, but we felt perfectly safe coming back about 11 at night.

We stayed in the deluxe apartments, with a great terrace - we enjoyed fixing our own breakfast and sitting out there - but if you don't want to do that, there is a bar across the street and on the next corner (to the left) where, one morning, we had freshly squeezed orange juice, croissants, and coffee, sat outside, and watched the local people begnning their day

The beds are comfortable. The only reason I gave the apartment a 4 instead of 5 is that, although the owners have taken the trouble to make the bedroom reasonably dark, with lined curtains and blinds, the kitchen/sitting room area has only thin curtains . I was sleeping on the sofa bed in this area - and even with a sleep mask I was awoken at 5.30 by the sun (in June)

The family we were visiting have only a small flat, but we are agreed that Isola Apartments would be perfect for all their visitors in the future.

One important tip - on weekends the door to the street is closed and locked all day - and the door key doesn't work from the inside. To get out, look for an insignificant white button/switch on the left wall - pushing it releases the lock.

Although we didnt like the outside of the building when we arrived, we were wonderfully surprised when we got to our apartment...
Very clean, very modern, happy, open with lots of light, and a wonderful bebroom upstairs opening to a big outdoor area... the metro and train station are just next door, and a very nice neighbourhood ...we stayed for a week and it felt like a home away from home..

Overall this apartment was great - modern, chic and clean, but for us, we felt the suburb was a little dodgy and perhaps a bit too far away from the city. I did not feel safe walking around the streets at night in this suburb (whereas I did in all the other cities in Italy we'd been to).

Negatives: while it has a kitchen, it's not well appointed. No sharp knives, and few utensils, limited ability to cook anything given the items on hand. No curtains in living room mean getting undressed upstairs gives the neighbours a good view! Door in bathroom sticks so was hard to close and bathroom itself was a bit small. Spiral staircase up to bedroom made carrying heavy suitcases pretty difficult (but it looked cool!) Management very friendly and tried to be helpful, but very disorganised.

Positives: clean and modern. Comfortable bed. Access to internet (but not wireless). Sofa folds out to good sized double bed and is comfortable. Restaurant on corner "primoposto" was fantastic but non English, so either take your phrase book or ensure your Italian is sufficient > food was sensational. Wine bar on opposite corner to restaurant "Dei Sensi" was also great (shame about choice of music) but would go there again. Good supemarket just around the corner too. If you don't mind being out of main town, then apartment is handy to train and some good restaurants nearby. I would not stay again, but only due to it's location, otherwise, the apartment was pretty good.

Tips: book your ticket to The Last Supper in advance before you leave for Italy. Waiting can be up to one month. We booked through Tickitaly.com . There were many very disappointed tourists there on the day we were there unable to get in.
