“Comfy, clean, modern”
Reviewed 23 June 2014

Stayed here for one night, everything was fine (in our case perfect since we got an upgrade to the junior suite). It's a bit outside of the towns center but the bus station is only a two minute walk away. Trip into town takes about 15-20 minutes by bus. The hotel is very modern and stylish, rather business orientated.
The room was very big and clean, bathroom/toilet very clean. Bed was very comfy and room was quite, aircon is powerfull. There was a little kitchen compartment with coffee machine and fridge.
Staff was very helpfull and friendly, everybody speaking fluently english. Breakfast was ok (mixed american/european brekkie).

I looked up the Radisson Blu around the corner, and I could not spot any difference as far as the rooms go. I suspect that this building used to belong to the Radisson Blu, but ended up somehow as a separate hotel. So you are getting 5-star, really spacious, well appointed rooms, and that is by American standards. The bed has so many pillows that I felt like royalty. The bathroom is the biggest I have ever seen in a hotel, with a tub, shower and bidet.

I stayed in the Milan Suite hotel on two occasions, and in one occasion the carpet was badly stained, but I not lose sleep over it. What I lost sleep over, is the fact that the hotel is on a busy road. All rooms face the road, and although the windows are quite good, you can hear the cars. The traffic reduces between 11pm and 5:30am, so to sleep outside this interval, I had to use the extra pillow kindly provided. This is why I am giving 3 stars out of 5.

Otherwise, since the hotel does not have a restaurant or a dining area, the breakfast is served in the lobby. You get a nice, rich Italian-continental breakfast, and not what you would expect in Germany or the US. On my first stay we were told they did not have highchairs for children as they were on order. 10 days later they still did not have one, but I did not ask about the order... That was OK as we had our portable one, so make sure you bring your own.

On location, yes the location is on the outskirts. For the arrival, although the hotel is close to the motorway, it took us 30-40 min to drive 1 mile because of a bottleneck road after the exit, and everyone overtaking the queue on the right. The first time this was on a Thursday at 7pm, and the second on a Saturday at 8pm, so I think simply that Milan is always busy. There is nothing attractive around, and the view is over a service station. We did not mind that. There is a supermarket 500 yards away, we you can buy anything you need. I do not share the opinion of other reviewers about strange people staring at you in the area. They are normal working-class who live in the area, so if you look for posh, you need to move to the city centre. We went by cab to the dome, and that was €22, and took 20 min in the morning, and 35 min at the rush hour in the evening.

I had the usual interaction with the personnel (breakfast, check-in, check-out) and everyone was friendly and helpful. Of course, travelling with a 14 month daughter helps. The baby cot was prepared in no time once we arrived.

The photos showed a flash looking hotel and thats exactly what we got, for a very reasonable price.

It was nice to have a spacious suite with modern amenities after we had stayed in a few more traditional Italian hotels. The room was great; spacious suite, big bathroom, double glazed windows, comfy bed.

The staff were excellent, I didn't quite catch the name of the afternoon man who was working behind the desk, but he often went out of his way to help us, like giving us an umbrella when it was raining.

Breakfast was very good.

I had a car, they had a very secure and spacious car park so that was excellent.

I noticed a few people have complained about the location. We found it no trouble at all, catch the bus in the morning into the city and a return in the afternoon, (the staff are helpful around this also) But then again we are probably classed as 'day visitors' maybe if you are looking for nightlife then this is not a 'central location'. But it was fine for what we were doing.

Easily our most comfortable stay in Europe, would stay there again, and the suites are big enough you feel like you can just hang around in them and relax.

Room Tip: As a couple we had a junior suite, it was a great size and very comfortable.

This place is a little out of the way, but not bad at all. The buses are a little crowded but go right into downtown - about a 10-15 min ride and only 1.5 euro each way. Taxis in Milan are expensive - 10-15 euros to not go very far. But in spite of that, you could do a round trip taxi every day and languish in your amazing room for less than a room near the city center.
We stayed here for about 150 euros a night and could not have been happier. The place is lovely - more square feet in the room than any hotel I have ever stayed in Europe. Staff are excellent.
Highly recommended.

Don't be fooled by the location comments on Trip Advisor, they got us worried too but, Although not in Milano central, a short bus or cab ride gets you right there. 7 min max....Extremely helpful staff. Great breakfasts.....the orange juicer is worth a stop alone the room was spectacular for our family.....largest hotel room I have been in anywhere. The trattoria down the street Il Imagine was one of the best meals in a month long holiday. Great experience from picky travellers.

Good inside with nice, completely renovated, very large and complete rooms; good and complete breakfast too; don't forget additional taxes 5 Euro/person, and parking which is quite expensive 13 Euro/day.
