We spent the Week-end at hotel Palazzo Segreti. We arrived quite late and had the good surprise to be upgrated. The hotel is very central in Milan. Very close the the duomo and the castello sforza. Yet, it is located in a quiet area. The room was great and the staff was super nice and helpful. They organised for us plenty of visits and nice place to have lunch and dinner. Breakfast was great too. It is a old building totally revamped with new materials and equipment. It is very design style.

Sometime too stylish hotels are so cold: you don't feel comfortable. This is not the case: the hotel is very beatiful, designed with great taste, with different styles in the room, but it's not cold at all. The room I had was so beautiful with great design ideas. The service is friendly but perfect. The position isvery convenient and you can rent a bike in front of the hotel. But the thing that describe better the hotel is the breakfast: minimalist, few things but great quality. Pastry, juice, fruit (cherries are not so common in hotel) marmelade, bread: everything is delicious. You feel well, and that is the most important thing, right?

I booked this hotel largely based upon reviews I had read. No surprises and great service. The staff managed to remain cheerful even when my wife overfilled a kettle and blew the fuse for lights and power in the room. Nothing was too much trouble. Limited cupboard space but a very comfortable bed and superb shower. Air conditioning was not very effective. Room was somewhat dark due to decor, but that fitted with the boutique theme, and the building. Location, just off Via Dante, is excellent, as we walked to all the major attractions and selected restaurants. Duommo is 10 minutes, Brera 15 minutes. We also got some reliable recommendations for restaurants. Wife was a bit grumpy at having to pay extra for an omelette at breakfast, but I enjoyed the ample supply of fresh fruit, croissants, freshly made coffee etc. More than happy to recommend.

Room Tip: Room 02 has a balcony at the front, but probably noisier than those at the back, even with double gl...

We stayed at the hotel in for 2 nights. We are 2 adults and 3 kids.
From the moment you check in, it is a great experience. Friendly, efficient staff, there to look after your well being. The rooms are a great size with modern bathrooms. The amenities in the bathroom are sublime, and we landed up purchasing the grape body wash to take home with us. While the hotel is limited on its amenities it more than makes it up on its service, it's fantastic rooms and its brilliant location. It's moments away from the duomo and the major shopping streets. In fact the only time we took a taxi was from the station to the hotel and then back again. The rest of the time we walked everywhere.
The staff were fantastic to my kids (aged 11,9 and 5).
We are going back to Milan in June and I have already booked there again. Can't wait.

Room Tip: I don't recall a fitness center. We had two rooms there. Both were great. Possibly a lower level...

Stayed at Palazzo Segreti for one night, in February, with my boyfriend, in our way to the Italian Alps. The hotel is very well located. Walking distance to the Dome and Galleria Vittorio Emanuele. This is a small, very modern, boutique hotel. Good service. Great breakfast. Would definitely stay there again!!

We stayed at this unusual hotel with my husband or 2 nights at the end of March 2013. there were a construction works in an adjacent building which was starting at 6 am in the morning.. there are no sound isolation at all & we were listening to every noise made by the builders... I was expecting the hotel to relocate us to another room away from those works or at least offer us a discount at our checkout but nothing were offered. I also remember that on our first morning at breakfast they took the cakes from the table at 09:45 at the same time when I was willing to grab me a piece... It seems that it was the staff's time for breakfast...
on the other hand, the room is clean and very nicely designed.
the lobby & breakfast area is a little bit dark which makes you a little bit uncomfortable but this is individual opinion of course..

Stayed here over the Easter break. The hotel has lots going for it and a couple of failings. The hotel is of a contemporary style. I like a decent level of comfort and the room was a bit too stark for my taste. We stayed in room 1. The shower is in a cubicle in the main room and the bathroom is separate. You need to use the bathroom to brush your teeth etc then grab a towel cross the room and shower, (a note for the manager...there is no where to hang the towel maybe a hook outside the shower door?).

Positives: Location is very central, no more than 10-15 minutes walk to most attractions. The ladies on the morning shifts, very friendly and helpful. Beds are comfy, the duvet and pillows are from what I could tell man made, I prefer natural but they were comfy enough.

Negatives: Noisy, our room and from what some of the other reviewers have said, some of the others also, are not sealed or sound protected. Our room, Room 1, was next to the stairs, which has no covering so you hear everyone returning, heels on concrete until the last guest returned, 2 am on Saturday night. Also you hear all the chat from the lobby up to the rooms, I mentioned this to the very nice lady when we checked out and she comped 2 bottles of water from our bill. Breakfast is ok and light, not a huge selection with other choices available for an extra charge (eggs, selection of meats and cheeses etc). Night time Guy over the weekend was less than helpful. When heading out the first evening, I asked directly for a few recommendations of somewhere to have an Aperitivo, a Milanese tradition, he replied, just walk around the area behind the hotel. When heading out the second night the same guy was there again, I said directly to him, the area around the hotel has no real cafes and the area which was recommended by people we spoke with out and about was Brera 10 minutes walk away, it got to the point where I said..assume you have a friend that has never been in Milan...where would you tell them to go! we got 2 names. Please have staff that are willing to offer advice without your guests having to insist upon it.

With a couple of tweaks this could be a great hotel at the moment it's good.

Room Tip: Enquire as to which of the rooms are the least noisy.
