Description: Who says that in Milan the restaurants are all the same, has never been at Pane e Tulipani Restaurant, where, thanks to the care of the owners, Laura and Massimo, the pleasure of the good food is flavored by the family warm. Mario is the Chef, from Marche region, in the Centre of Italy. He is able to create magnificent dishes, literally expressions of good taste combined with esthetic. And after a superb plate of Italian food, an excellent glass of wine. Salvatore, from Sicily, will direct you in the discovery of the best wine to enjoy with the right food. What could be better to conclude this tasteful journey than an homemade dessert, prepared by expert hands Both for a romantic dinner or a friendly reunion, don't forget to call Massimo, asking them a reservation to taste the special pizza "Pane e Tulipani" made by Adel the pizzaiolo, cooked in the wooden oven, as the tradition wants. Looking forward to meet you and Pane&Tulipani Restaurant!

Looks interesting from outside but a mish mash of spaces inside and relatively basic presentation. A good range of food and a reasonably expensive looking wine list with house wine by the glass only - no carafes. Servings were large as always and food was tasty. Service was great once the staff relaxed and realised we weren't ogres.

We were visiting for the weekend and chanced upon this friendly restaurant serving excellent Italian food. The multilingual staff coped with our English and others other language customers well. The waitong staff were very attentive and helpful. We were happy with allour menu choices and an enjoyable evening. We were not happy with our first wine choice and they readily changed it for us without extra charge. They also provided welcome extras that we appreciated. We highly recommend this restaurant.

What a find! for budget travelers. in the 3 weeks we spent traveling in Italy and Switzerland, this was our favorite ristorante. The food was great, reasonably priced, and the the atmosphere in the outside part was warm and jolly, Ourwaiter Francesco looked after our every need and made the evening great for us. Highly recommend.

We loved the film (Bread & Tulips) and we love this restaurant. It's a family affair and exuded warmth from the moment we arrived. Our table was in the back but it's also possible to eat in the outdoors section. We chose lasagne and grilled salmon for our lunch, impeccably cooked and served with delicious grilled vegetables in season (today: zucchini and carrots). Dessert was a trio of homemade gelati and we finished with a nip of home-made limoncello - a memorable lunch. Reasonable prices and friendly service made the experience really enjoyable. We would definitely dine here again.

My husband, I, and two new friends had just spent approximately 12 hours trying to get from Ramstein, Germany to Rome, Italy. Due to the Easter holiday, most of the trains were booked and we ended up using local trains wherever we could find them. We were able to make it as far as Milan before we could not go further. The only train the following day was at 6:15 am. To say that we were tired and discouraged would be an understatement. This restaurant, Pane e Tulipani, was recommended by the hotel clerk. It is located very close to the train station. What a fantastically wonderful experience. The food was fantastic and the service was great. The guy who served our table was very outgoing. He engaged in conversation leading to me stating that I was looking forward to tasting my first "real" Italian pizza. Shortly after taking our orders, he returned with a piping hot "real" Italian pizza...for free! It was delicious; of course I shared with my husband and friends. Then our food came and there was nothing that was not delicious. (Pictures of the pizza and my food are attached). As we ate this great food, we begin to relax and laugh about the day. At the end of our meal after we had paid, we were presented with iced glasses of Limoncello. I realized that we would not have had this experience except for the problem with the trains. This was definitely the silver lining of our day. The only Con that I can think of is that the standards (for pizza and pasta) were set so high that my hubby and I have not been able to find food as delicious )-:
