Just one night in Milano at the Four Season ! fantastic location in the heart of Milano - Perfect for shopping - dinner - and a few hours of relaxing in this 1 A Hôtel.
Nice large rooms - amazing bathroom - fantastic products to spoil your body with !
Really 5 Star ! Breakfast is really expensive - I really recommend to have your morning cappuccino
somewhere in a little italian cafe at 2 Euros instead of 6 Euros in the hotel but I guess the atmosphere is worth the few extra Euros. Very very professional and friendly staff. Best place to stay in Milano if you wanna be in town.

I have stayed at the FS Milan many times, and I have dined there innumerable times. I have always experienced excellent service and excellent quality. The rooms are gorgeous, the medieval monastery setting superb, the location perfectly in the center of Milan's fashion district and a few steps from Piazza Duomo. Particularly notable are the restaurants and the superb cuisine of Chef Sergio Mei. A kind thank you to Hotel Manager Carlo Straggiotto for his exquisite kindness and professionalism!

I mainly choice this hotel for it location and garage. It is right in the luxury shopping district of Milan. You can park your car and do everything my foot . The building is gorgeous, it was previously a monastery. The service is excellent like you can expect in a Four Seasons hotel. I really enjoy the restaurant and the lounge.
We have been stay in many other hotel before like the Bulgari hotel which I really like also but I prefer the Four Seasons mainly for its location.

Answer: when it's in Milan. I first visited this hotel 15+ years ago. New, slick, comfortable and pleased to be the best game in town. That was then. Today is it neglected (see all the hallway carpets on floors 1-3, threadbare and worn to the point of threadbare, I joke not), the staff are for the most part (Lorenzo the Concierge an exception) are, well, Milanese; hands out for tips from Americans who seem to overwhelm the calm-ish but now overcrowded lobby. The only rooms to ask for and stay in are on the ground floor, oddly enough facing the courtyard. As to the rooms: tired and cramped again; the junior suite was no more than a deluxe room in any other hotel. Breakfast was oddly bland for such an hotel in Milan. The Bulgari has upped the ante and the Four Seasons just disappoints on virtually every level. And this review is written from the Four Seasons in London under the inspired leadership of Annabel Shaw. Her expensive Milanese cousin is actually a Westin in drag.

Room Tip: Ground floor ONLY facing the courtyard. Avoid rooms facing via Gesu (main entrance) as garbage truck...

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Right in the heart of Milan's most beautiful inner city quarter, the Four Seasons Hotel Milano is just steps from Milan’s famed designer boutiques and magnificent Duomo cathedral. An easy chic feel presides of the hotel's lobby and Il Foyer’s intimate bar and lounge, serving cocktails created by the bar's resident Mixologist. The scene at Il Foyer is framed by granite pillars that once supported the church of a 15th century convent, and the space flows into restaurant La Veranda, specialising in unique award-winning Italian cuisine as well as international delicacies. Tables in the restaurant look onto a meditative view of an exquisite cloistered courtyard. The Hotel offers guests other surprising experiences from a seasonal Chocolate Room created entirely in chocolate to a theme; a Chef’s Table, traditional Milanese aperitivo and cooking classes inside the restaurant’s fabled kitchen, and one of the city’s most creative banquet catering teams. Fragments of frescoes, a beautiful emblem of the building’s sanctified past, create a meditative backdrop for the Hotel's relaxed elegant interiors interspersed with classic architectural flourishes. The Hotel’s 118 rooms and suites are appointed with distinguished diverse designs and offer views over the property’s tranquil manicured inner courtyards, the exclusive street of Via Gesù and typical neoclassical Milanese rooftops or neighbouring quiet private gardens. The Hotel’s newly designed Spa, a warm and tranquil space, fluidly constructed by Patricia Urquoila within the building’s historical architecture offers therapeutic treatments using the finest skincare products as well as a Turkish bath, swimming pool, one-of-a-kind Spa Suite and a 24-hour Fitness Centre. ... more   less
